Quite often I am unable to get a cursor to appear on a new, blank page, and so I am unable to write, or even to paste text.

What causes this problem, and how is it overcome?

When I drop a graphic on a text page, it no longer gives me the choice of holding it to a fixed position on a page, with text flowing around it. The files I am having trouble with may have been originally from an older version (pre OS 10), subsequently converted to the NS Express. Those are the ones on which I have trouble saving changes.

It has headers with page numbers, but no, nothing else you list.

I was wondering: should I try a free install of 2.1.2? I tried that from the download, but maybe I should download afresh and try again.

I am using Tiger OS 10.4 with NW Express 2.1.2

I find that the new version 2.1.2 of Nisus Writer Express is just about completely unusable with Tiger. It cannot import rtf files made with Word: one get the endless typesetting barber pole and the dreaded beach ball, and NWE is listed as "not responding" when one prepares to force quit. ...
