Automatic synch files/folders to dropbox
I believe that this is possible. Can you send me explicit instructions on how to do so? Thanks!

Nisus Pro "Damaged or Incomplete" so can't be opened
Do I simply download Nisus Pro and replace the old? Will my registration be recognized?
Thanks
Thanks

Re: Book on Nisus Writer Pro
I just want to add my encouragement for you to write such a book. As it is, while everything one might want is in the manual somewhere , it is too often scattered (no doubt for good reasons, but still...). So if you could -- in KISS fashion -- show in one section [nearly] everything about footnotes/...

Footnote/Endnote Tag in Status Bar
The manual says that when I'm in a footer with a footnote, a tag * will appear. But I see none. I have several other tags, but not this one. I want to have the ability to change all footnotes to endnotes, and the manual says to do it via this tag. Advice? Thanks

Re: Start continuous page numbers for a new chapter
Just to be a bit clearer, when I open up the Sections palette (if that is what I'm supposed to do) and type in the page number I wish the new chapter to begin with, both "start on" and "restart on" are gray'd out.

Start continuous page numbers for a new chapter
I once knew, but have forgotten!
I write Chapters then stitch them together. So, suppose Chapter 1 ends on page 50 and I want Chapter 2 to begin on page 51. How do I do this? (I don't use sections).
Thanks!

Re: Anchoring Text Boxes to a particular paragraph
Unfortunately, Martin, the text boxes are a nightmare. They simply don't stay put, and that is in two respects. First, they sometimes "jump" from the beginning of a paragraph where I want them up/down several lines or, even worse, they jump to someplace in the middle of the paragraph. I'm ...

Re: Anchoring Text Boxes to a particular paragraph
Thanks Martin: that seems to work! Is there a way to make "Moves with Paragraph" the default? I can't see how to do that. Additionally, is there a way to make what is in a text box (by default) always (say) italics and one point less than the main text? As it is, I have to do it each time....

Anchoring Text Boxes to a particular paragraph
In a manuscript I like to have a small text box at the beginning of *some* paragraphs in which a central idea is emphasized. In Word and WordPerfect, the text box stays anchored to that particular paragraph. It does not in Nisus, it seems. Consequently, if I add a sentence in the body of the manuscr...

Storing Templates
I understand that templates are best stored in the .../Library/ApplicationSupport/Nisus Writer Pro folder. A few questions: 1. Does it matter what sub-folder if any? 2. When I wish to save a file as a template and then I'm asked where to save it, I'm not given the choice to go to the NWP folder in t...

Re: Running word count
Unless I'm not using the program correctly, this isn't quite what I'm after. Yes, if I do the Automatic Word Count anywhere in the text, it will tell me how many words at that point . But if I type another paragraph, I believe I have to do Automatic Word Count again to get another word count. But eq...

Running word count
One feature I liked on the late, unlamented Word was a running word count at the bottom of the page. I know I can get the total number of words using the Statistics Palette, but can I get a running count? The manual doesn't seem to suggest a way....

Hide/Show Anchor
I don't much like the anchor that goes with a Text Box. Is there a way that I can hide/show it?
