Re: Line spacing problem . . .
Hello Hamid, Thanks very much, this comes is very handy for many other Wordperfect files that I need to convert and work on! I assume that it must be quirk of the way the Wordperfect file was converted to rtf (or I've accidentally been using the horizontal bar instead of the em-dash all these years!...

Re: Line spacing problem . . .
I followed Mark's advice, just deleting the offending em-dashes and retyping them and that solved the problem. A bit time consuming, but probably no more than the time spent searching for some automated solution. Fortunately for me, whatever gremlin was causing the problem didn't appear anywhere els...

Re: Question about Type Text
Hello Martin, Thanks very much, that did the trick. I went back and look through the manual and did now catch the line that " " are for interpolation and ' ' are for literals. Although it still seems a bit confusing (at least to me) that the Find expressions appear to work the opposite (fr...

Question about Type Text
Hello, I'm new to NWP and the its macro language (it's been a long time since I've done any programming either), and I thought I could simply modify the following macro which Martin provided in NWP forum. While Select Next Note If Find '(.*)\s', 'Es$' If '.' != $1 Select Start Type Text ‘.’ End End ...

Re: Why is NWP so painfully slow?
Hello Martin or Dan (or anyone else), as an academic who is thinking about switching to NWP, could you give us a sense of how big the document needs to be (and/or how many footnotes there needs to be) before things start to noticeably slow down? This is certainly a concern that I would have too. Tha...
