Re: Insert List Number . . .
Hi Martin, I don't think that is the problem since I don't embed the list style into the paragraph styles, but rather just use my "normal" paragraph style and apply a list style to it afterwards. (I do this in part because I use a wide variety of unnumbered headings, quotations, etc, all m...

Hello Kino,
The first of your two macros was exactly what I was looking for!
Much thanks,
Josh

Insert List Number . . .
Hello All, I use numbered paragraphs all the time in my lecture writing and find that not infrequently (although I haven't been able to figure out the pattern), when I press return to start a new paragraph the next list number does not appear and I have to manually add it (e.g., Format > List > <lis...

Re: Automatic advance of Left Indent . . .
Thanks to you both for the response. It looks like I'll just have to make the change manually when I occasionally need to. I was hoping to be able to recreate Wordperfect's hard left indent feature (ol' F7!) which I always found very handy for formatting things on the fly.
Thanks,
Josh
Thanks,
Josh

Automatic advance of Left Indent . . .
Hello All, Is there a way, through a macro, to have the Left Indent (not the First Line Indent) advance one tab stop at a time (using the ruler settings currently active for paragraph at the insertion point)? This macro would do the same as the Indent button on the toolbar, but without changing the ...

App Store & NWP?
Hello,
This is a question for Martin, I suppose: just out of curiosity, what are the plans, if any, for NWP and the new App store?
Best,
Josh

Assigning Option+Cmd 8
Hi All, I suspect this question has more to do with my relative newness to OS X than to NWP, but I'm trying to assign a style to option+cmd 8, and for whatever reason I can assign the style to option+cmd 6, 7, 9, and 0, but not option+cmd 8. I think it might be an OS X issue because in the OS X keyb...

Re: Copy and Pasting an Image . . . bug discovered.
Well, I think I narrowed down the problem (and discovered a bug in NWP, I think). I've now found that if the image file inserted has spaces in the file name, then when the image is copy and pasted in NWP, only the file name will paste and not the image. However, if the image file inserted does not h...

Re: Copy and Pasting an Image . . .
Hello, Thanks for the suggestions. Unfortunately, I get the same result—no image, only the file name of the image—whether I use those keyboard short cuts (which is what I normally do) or I select 'copy' and 'paste' from the edit menu. Perhaps even more strangely, when I Cmd-C in NWP and then switch ...

Copy and Pasting an Image . . .
Hello All, Whenever I copy or cut and paste some text and an associated image (e.g., a Jpeg), the text pastes just fine, but where the image should appear, there is only the name of the image file that was inserted (as plain text). Any thoughts about how to cut/copy and paste inserted images from on...

Hi Martin, thanks. I guess conformity to convention is the best course of action: Cmd + arrow keys it will be! Best, Josh
