Re: Nisus does not work with iPad and Splashtop Streamer
All the characters seem to work except return, which does not register. When I input from the keyboard attached to the Mac, return still works -- but not from the iPad. When you hit return on the iPad, the place where you're trying to insert it turns blue for a tenth of a second or so and then that ...

Nisus does not work with iPad and Splashtop Streamer
The Splashtop App is on sale for iPad -- it works very well with most programs (even Word -- Apple's programs also work), but when you type return on the iPad, it does not register in a Nisus (2.01) document on the Mac. Note return does work with Word, Mail, etc. I wonder why -- since Nisus uses Coc...

Re: Pro 2.0.1 public beta (bug fixes and Lion support)
I hope when Nisus is completely upgraded for Lion it retains the "save as" option. The Apple apps (Pages, Textedit, etc.) are, for me, much harder to use without this feature.

Doesn't work yet. Hope NWP 2 will be updated soon for this and to fix the page numbering bug in pdf's.

Re: Want to open always in same view, zoom
Thanks, Martin -- that's exactly what I need. I already have an applescript file that converts classic Nisus files to the new format, preserving the dates, etc. I can add the code you suggest -- I'm giving it below in case anyone is interested. George property script_fname : "font_conversion.pl...

Re: Want to open always in same view, zoom
Thanks, that's very helpful. I have one more question: Is it possible to adjust the window size using a macro?

Want to open always in same view, zoom
My wife is using OS 9 and the old Nisus -- which is still a remarkable program. I am trying to ween her from OS 9, which is horrible, and to get her to use NWP on OS 10. She doesn't like the fact that NWP opens files based on how they were saved -- she wants all of them to open in draft mode with 12...

Re: Would you want Nisus Writer to support the ePub file format?
I think this would not only be useful, it would make Nisus a step above all other word processors, especially if it allowed for import and export of epub files. It would also be useful if it came with a macro that could search for chapter headings and make them epub chapters. This would allow users ...

Re: Nisus Writer Pro 1.3 is now available
The update looks superb -- thanks. I've been trying to help a colleague who's using Word and now appreciate NWP even more. One thing that would be VERY useful: bring back the ability to split the screen so that you can see and edit different views of the same document. As far as I can see, you can't...

Re: Does not save spelling option for English (US)
Try this. Open NWP, set spelling for English (U.S.) to disabled. Open a new file and put some misspelled words in it. They will not be marked as misspelled (wiggly orange line). Save the file. Quit NWP. Open the file you saved. The misspelled words will be marked. Here's another question: is there a...

Does not save spelling option for English (US)
I want to change English (US) so that it does not mark misspelled words (format/language/edit language:spelling). In Nisus 1.1, I can change it when the program is open and it works when I open documents, but when I quit Nisus, that preference is not saved and I have to reenter it when I start the p...

Need to replace with page break
I want to replace all instances of a character marker (in this case, |) with a page break. Can I do that with NWP? Thanks.

Need to add page break
I need to use a global replace to add a page break before a character I've used as a marker (the character is |). I can find the |'s fine, but when I try to replace it with a page break (\f) it just adds "f". Is there any way to put a page break in a replace? Thanks.

Attribute sensitive PowerFind Pro macro not working
When I run the macro Find '.', 'Eua' and the period is times, it selects all characters no matter what font. When I do the same thing in the "Find" dialogue (Find all) with attribute sensitive and PowerFind Pro selected, it works. What am I doing wrong, or is this something that doesn't wo...
