You obviously didn't read the Release Notes file that came with your 2.5 download, you obviously didn't read the "system requirements" section of this page either.
NWX 2.5 requires OS X 10.3 (or later) dude...

LinkBack Across Applications, Not Within Applications
I think you are going beyond the defined/intended scope of LinkBack if you expect to be able to use it within NWX. The manual is unfortunately not crystal clear on this point, but it does seem that LB is designed to work across different types of documents and applications, not across different docs...

Yeah, the character count works fine on the whole (unselected) document, but word and paragraph count just display a hyphen If I select part parts of the document, word and paragraph count work for the selected area, but it doesn't work for the whole document. If I try to select the entire document...

NWX 2.5 System Requirements
The page has "System Requirements" displayed in bold heading, what more do you want? They didn't keep it a secret. If you downloaded and installed a major new release of a software product without first checking what version of the OS it requires I don't think it's very fair to blame the v...

RAM Hog?
Well when I open a 9,000 word doc in NWX 2.5 I see it's using about 55MB RAM (and 222MB virtual) which is comparable to other OS X apps -- Firefox is using 63MB and Thunderbird is using 37MB. Really, 55-70MB is nothing nowadays, I don't have Word or Office to test but I'll bet it uses considerably m...

Markdown Failure
This seems like an issue you should take up on the Markdown discussion group: http://six.pairlist.net/mailman/listinfo/markdown-discuss rather than here as it's probably a Markdown issue rather than a NWX problem. N.B. I can find no mention of Markdown supporting NWX on John's website, it seems to s...

Wrong Forum
Whether it's stable or not, whether it's still supported or not it should be discussed in the correct support forum. This is the place to discuss Nisus Writer Express, not Nisus Email. There's an "Other Nisus Products" forum for such products, and that's where this should be.

Thanks for pointing out the fact I need new glasses immediately...not sure how I overlooked that. The issue of inserting symbols can be solved via the INPUTS menu (part of INTERNATIONAL prefs within SYSTEM PREFERENCES) not ideal, but workable. Thanks again! There's no need to use the inputs menu fo...

Drag and Drop
That's very odd -- drag and drop moves the selected text by default. You use the option key to make it copy the dragged text. As far as I know you can't change the default behaviour, no preferences settings or anything. What version of NWX and OS X is this? Might be worth trying a drag and drop with...

Moving text
Sure. You can move selected text by drag-and-dropping it or by cutting-and-pasting it (cmd-x, cmd-v or Edit->Cut, Edit->Paste).

Does anyone have a clue how I can get NWX to hard wrap text? That would be great. Right now I have the idea that I have to let the macro count the number of characters in a line. If this number is smaller than, say, 80 characters, nothing happens. If it surpasses 80, I'll try to let it insert a lin...

Spaces at End of Sentences
Here's a macro to do the job. It removes excess spaces (i.e. 2 or more) following periods in the current document, replacing them with a single space, and creates a new document containing the modifed text (so you still have the original document available, just in case). It won't remove extra space...

Simplified Line Numbering Macro
Here's a much simpler version of your line numbering macro. printf is your friend! #Nisus Macro Block #source clipboard #destination clipboard #before execution #Copy #after execution #Paste #End Nisus Macro Block my $count = 1; while (my $line = <>) { printf("%.4u\t%s", $count++,$line); }

Line Numering Macro
As far as the styling of lines in Perl Macros the NWX User Guide has this to say: "However, because Perl Macros are not yet sensitive to the attributes of text, when the text is copied from the document all attributes are removed. In practical terms this means if the text being changed has mult...
