Re: Setting up Nisus Writer in a second account
Hi, guys, I wasn't aware of the discrepancy. Thank you for pointing it out. Apple handles both paths, it turns out, depending on how you go in. On my system, at least, it works as following, which may be a legacy of earlier versions of Nisus and macOS: On my installation of Nisus 3.3 on Ventura, if ...

Re: Setting up Nisus Writer in a second account
If you're setting up a new account, this may be helpful. The settings most relevant to me, including the <keyboard shortcuts.plist>, and palettes and preferences plists are found on this tortuous path: ~/Library/Containers/com.nisus.NisusWriter/Data/Library/Application Support/Nisus Writer Pro/Setti...

Re: Smart quote problem in Comments, but not in main NWP window
I can't reproduce this behavior on v. 3.3 running macOS 12.6, no matter where or how I begin a quoted phrase inside of comments. Have tried this with my default font, Baskerville, as well as Courier New.

I guess my thoughts are, "Why build a new vehicle (macro) from scratch when there's pandoc?"

Re: Reproducible Crash on NWP 3.2.2
Does not appear to be an issue in Monterey beta 8. Beta 9 installing now.

Re: Reproducible Crash on NWP 3.2.2
Not critical. Easily avoidable. But just checking if it's happening beyond my install. Thanks.

Reproducible Crash on NWP 3.2.2
Running Big Sur 11.6 on 2019 MacBook Pro 16".
Under System Preferences -> Keyboard, (Keyboard), select the drop-down for "Press Fn key to" and make any change to current setting. Voila, Nisus will crash on my system. Anybody else?
Thanks,
Brad

Big Sur 11.3, Spotlight and RTF files
Previously, Spotlight under Big Sur would not find results when searching CONTENTS of RTF files for me. And others have also reported this problem. So, I had defaulted my save file type in Nisus to RTFD, which Spotlight would result. Now, under Big Sur 11.3, Spotlight appears to be working normally ...

Re: Create array from word list?
Martin and Philip,
Thank you for stepping in with the help with my learning curve managing and manipulating objects. Delighted to see how fast the .appendValue builds an array when moving through a single body of .text.find.
A foundation and a springboard!

Re: Help, after clean install of Bug Sir [sic]
Bit of a blow out, yesterday, apologies. I'd had my second Moderna vaccination on the 7th and was a bit ruff around the edges. I think the problem I encountered involved a collision of new and old settings by running the Nisus installer to install as new on top of all my migrated user data on the fr...

Re: Help, after clean install of Bug Sir [sic]
No files lost. Thanks for you question. But those last suggested steps left Nisus with multiple locations for templates, styles. Not clean. Mangaged it. Saved the file "keyboard shortcuts.plist", as well as styles, etc. AppCleanered Nisus entirely. Reinstalled. Replaced "keyboard shor...

Help, after clean install of Bug Sir [sic]
So, clean install of Big Sur 11.2.3, then migration of User but not Applications. After installing Nisus 3.2.1, mostly ok but one issue I can't resolve. Nisus asked me to point it to my nisus root folder, forgetting the exact language, which I did. Now, whenever I Show Document Manager, I get this e...

Re: Create array from word list?
Just a question: Could this have been achieved by using the Edit:Transform Paragraphs:Randomize (shuffle) command? Yup, turns out you sure can. And it produces a different random order with iterations from the original text. Thank you for pointing this out. BUT, Philip picked up on where I was at a...

Thank you, Philip. Simple and elegant. And really fast! Again, going to school on you code. Up late?
