Oh sorry I realise only now you recommend uploading the PDF file.
So what I did was: produce a PDF via "Open in Preview" within NWP, then upload it to https://www.pdftron.com/pdf-tools/pdfa-converter/, download the result, and compare it with the original file. It works!

Re: PDF/A
Ah, this looks great, many thanks!
However, while the result is indeed a file that "claims compliance with the PDF/A standard", some basic formatting used in the RTF file (e.g. font choice, footnote line separator) do not come through.

Re: Footnote paragraph style
Thank you, philip. I've now done what you suggest, but my Footnote style (not the "my footnotes" paragraph style) has a Font selected which I cannot deselect (see the screen shot: "Font: Consolas"). (Of course I could simply change the selected font to the font as used in the &qu...

Footnote paragraph style
I'm sure there's a pretty simple solution to my problem but I fail to find it myself. Whenever I insert a new footnote, no paragraph style seems to be associated with it, so I need to click in it, go to the Palette Dock, and from the Styles choose my footnote paragraph style. Of course this works we...

excluding levels from the document TOC
My document has 6 levels of headings, and each of them is included in the Table of Contents. So far, so good: in the Navigator, it's nice to see all levels and be able to collapse and expand them as needed. Now in the printed TOC (i.e., the one I'll insert at the beginning of the document), I'd like...

Re: removing attribute overrides in Footnote Note Style
Thank you, philip. This makes sense, and it worked very well (didn't know about the benefits of clicking Select All twice!).

Re: deleting paragraph style B and replacing it with paragraph style A
Hi Adrian and philip Thanks to both of you for your help! Achieving this with Select All in Style is really easy, and the paragraph style list in my document is much cleaner now. One thing that was bothering me a bit was that although after all occurrences of text in paragraph style B have been repl...

deleting paragraph style B and replacing it with paragraph style A
In my document, there are several very similar paragraph styles. How can I delete paragraph style B and make sure that all paragraphs with paragraph style B will be formatted with paragraph style A?

removing attribute overrides in Footnote Note Style
I have opened in NWP a large RTF file prepared in a different word processor. There are 500 footnotes in that file, and they should all be styled in the same way (obviously). Now the formatting of the first 485 of these follows the Footnote Note Style, which is good, but for some reason the last 15 ...
