I've tried skipping the .docx part of this, just opening my .rtf files in pages on my iPad, and then exporting them back to .rtf when I'm done. Since I keep my Nisus files on Dropbox, I just export from Pages to Dropbox.
Probably best to close Nisus before you start messing with your drafts.
