It looks like Express 2.5 is getting closer. We just released Beta 4 and there are a number of bugs fixed. However, we would love to hear from people who have had problems with Classic File Conversion and Keyboard Shortcuts.
Please download the new beta, try it out, and let us know what you think by filing bug reports.

I’ve got a problem with beta 4. The endnotes disappear. The endnote field cannot even he seen unless accessed by a go-to-note command from an existing in-text reference number and then finally conjured into visibility by a Command-A. Then, when editing one note, all others disappear till revealed transiently by scrolling. As unstable as beta 3 was it didn’t do anything as bizarre (and devilitating) as this. How about beta 5? How about this afternoon?

I’ve checked with the engineer in charge of this portion of the code. He reports that what you describe here was a “drawing bug” that he corrected even before you reported it (he must have noticed it himself). The fix will appear in the next beta release.
i’d like to use inDesignCS2 with this. what are you folks doing that makes your rtf files so mean to it?
