The latest issue of About This Particular Macintosh has a very fair review of Nisus Writer Express. I am thrilled that the author mentioned the “tags” feature. It is a feature that is almost never mentioned in reviews, though it is very powerful and useful.
Just for that mention, and the very nice words about tables, I will link to his blog.
There is also a nice review in the Washington Post (thanks Mary for the link!).
The tags are very cool–just a little hard to explain.
Incidentally, I noticed just last night that you do have automatic hyphenation, even though I said you didn’t in the review. In my somewhat lame defense, maybe you should move it out of the “View” menu. I didn’t remotely think to look there! :)
Good point about the location of the hyphenation menu command, and I would like to add a suggestion I have made before: I think the “New Style” command should not be under the Insert menu. Instead, it should be under Format with the Style command, which makes much more sense to me. I recall looking for New Style a number of times, but never finding it under Format, where I expected it to be.
