This will go up on our front page soon, but I thought I would mention it here too: MacUser UK printed their review of Nisus Writer Express 2.0 in this months issue (go buy it if you are in the UK…it is really a good Mac mag). 5 mice. Cool huh?
By the way, thanks to everyone for all the great input you have been posting on the comments here about features that you need and such. Your input really means a lot! I hope to have more commentary on this in the future.
I´d give it a 6 out of 5 if that could be. I think, you understood what´s possible in X better than even apple did… I kept making notes and eventually found many of my most wanteds anyway. I´ll come back in detail, but one thing crossed me and I want to explain it by a metaphor: Say, you got that nice flat-screen tv and change the channel for the first time – now pop! there´s another flat screen, just slightly displaced before the other but never mind: You can easyly toggle the displays, using a menu, that´s found… if you get me? Now I would appreciate my electronic flip-board (and is that not the NX metaphor?) to opt for showing me a list of open documents in the tray from which I may select, a pull down menu or better a list window (and a prefs checkbox allowing for “open new documents in new window”). Apple more than ever encourages working with applications instead of documents and the OS X dock is a howl compared to what I set up under win98 at my employer´s… I need to work with several open documents at a time and don´t want to use the Window menu so much. Now excuse me for saying so little in so many words. You did one hell of a job (again)!
