Happily, Nisus Writer Pro 2.1.2 is available for purchase or download once again in the Mac App Store. We apologize that it took so long to work it all out, but now that we have overcome the technical issues involved we hope this won’t happen again.
So if you purchased Pro from the Mac App Store, feel free to go to your Purchased tab in the App Store app and download.
I installed 2.1.2 so I could control the frequency of autosave, but something isn’t functioning properly. I set it to save every 15 minutes, and it saved approximately every 6. I set it to save every 60 min., restarted the computer, and checked to be sure it still said that it was set to save every 60 min. It saves, variably, every 6, 7, 9, 11, and 12 minutes. I’ve stopped timing the frequency: All I know is that something is amiss.
Hello Chris, I’m sorry that you’re having trouble with Nisus Writer’s preference for autosave frequency. The issue is real, in that your preference could be improperly ignored after some internal Mac OS X threshold was reached.
The good news is that we plan to fix this problem for the next update to Nisus Writer, which should be available soon.
