Question:
How can I get colored text in the Graphics layer?
Answer:
- Click the Display Graphics Bar button
on the Horizontal Button Bar.
- Select the Text Tool
on the Graphics Bar.
- Click in your document and type some text.
- Select the Pointer Tool
on the Graphics Bar.
- Choose a Pen Color from the Pen Color pop-up menu on the Graphics Bar.
Poof, colored text! If you want the text box background color to be something other than
white, choose a color from the Fill Color pop-up menu on the Graphics Bar.
Question:
I have trouble importing some EPS graphics. I get either an empty box or no box at all. What's going on?
Answer:
Certain graphics programs (including
some music notation applications) do
not properly specify the "bounding box" that is used to relate the
size of the graphic to the PICT preview that is displayed on-screen. Luckily,
there is a shareware program called
EPS Fixer that will correct this problem
in your EPS files. Simply download
EPS Fixer 1.5.2
and follow the instructions.
Question:
How do I work with Kodak PhotoCD images in Nisus Writer?
Answer:
Kodak PhotoCD images are stored in Kodak YCC format.
There are also lo-res
PICT versions on the PCD. Importing the PICT version should be no problem.
They come in 5 different sizes, contained in 5 different folders on the disk.
If you want to use the YCC image files for improved color, you'll have to
pull them into Photoshop first. [retrieved from the
