Suggestion for NWP

I'd like to make a suggestion for Nisus Writer Pro, if I may be so damnably bold.

The "Document Manager" has been improved, but I think it should be made into an optionally visible pane in the application - like the Bookmarks/Table of contents "Navigator" pane, but on the opposite side.

Applications like BBEdit and MacJournal (sort of) have adopted this approach, and it's just great to work with multiple documents in one document window.

I was thinking further about this, and it strikes me that there are two ways this could be done.

One way would be to have the "document list" refer to various documents that are located anywhere on your machine (like aliases).

The other would be for the list to refer to various documents that are actually embedded in the application data somehow (like MacJournal). I guess for this way, any document could still be opened up in a separate window.

I'd be interested to know what people think of the pros and cons of the two approaches.

Maybe the devs like neither!
