i don't want to be a pain but...

Post by lgreen »

i wish Martin [as official Nisus 'dude'] would give an indication of when 1.0.2 would be out of beta and properly released. I know I don't know anything about software development or testing but the beta has been out for almost a couple of weeks and if it is truly stable wouldn't 1.0.2 have been released now?

Truly I just want Nisus to work again

But it does work! 1.0.2b2 seems to work just fine, I use it every day under Leopard and am experiencing no problems. Don't get too hung up on the term "beta", it's not like this is a major new feature release, it's just bug fixes and Leopard compatibility for the existing 1.0.1 version. I'm glad they're taking their time and squashing as many bugs as possible while adding Leopard compatibility.

The only answer I can give is "soon", which is unsatisfying I know.

Personally (not as an official company position) I would agree with dshan and say you should go ahead and use the beta version. Although it has to be marked as a beta it really is quite stable.

By the way: I agree (in an official manner, since I don't work for Nisus;) ) that the betas have been totally stable and usable for some time now.

Hopefully I didn't break any NDA by saying that :P
