I posted what I thought was a bug to Nisus the other day. It concerned am incorrect spelling of a word in the British English dictionary.
(If you must know, it was the word "rigorously", which was flagged up as "rigourously" by the dictionary.)
Anyway, a helpful bod from Nisus pointed out that Apple would need to update their system dictionaries, as Nisus uses the OSX dictionaries for spelling checks.
So to my question. Does anyone know whether if I save a new spelling into a custom dictionary within Nisus Writer Express, does it also get saved into the system dictionary?

Yes, when you add a word to the dictionary in NWE, it gets added to the system dictionary. From then on, all Cocoa programs (OmniWeb, TextEdit, Pages, Safari, etc.) will recognize your spelling.
In case you're curious, the file that has your additions is in your ~/Library/Spelling/ folder. There should be one file for each language you use.
