(Re)move ~/Documents/Nisus Documents/ permanently?

Post by Chris »

Hi,

How Do I stop ~/Documents/Nisus Documents/ from being created or how do I persuade NWE to create it at another location (e.g. ~/Library/ or ~/Library/Application Support/Nisus Writer/)? Thanks!

Hi

I don't know if this is possible but I agree with you that it is desirable.

I'm afraid that is not possible at this time, sorry.

I too like to have this automatic folder creation in a future release removed please.

Agreed that I hate this. I hate this so very very very much.

It feels so... Windows-y. Ew.

I hate the fact that you can't remove the example macros from the macro menu even more

Had to laugh when I read this thread. Having that folder created is the single most irritating thing about this program for me...and was almost a dealbreaker for switching over to Nisus. Not being able to change the default directory was a just plain stupid decision.

I hate George Bush. I almost didn't by Nisus Writer Express because of his idiotic administration... but suddenly realized Nisus had nothing to do with Bush.

I agree... except the part about it being Windows-y. I hate the fact that Apple has decided that all of their applications have to live in the top level of /Applications. Really really irritating.

i've stopped using nisus writer express because of this damn folder. how presumptuous to think that I need a special app-specific folder. It drives me absolutely bananas. Even MS Word doesn't do this.

It does:

~/Documents/Microsoft User Data
