Greetings. I noticed a problem with the Find and Replace. I copied a word ("This") from a NWE document and pasted into the Find window. It added some kind of spacing (like a large tab) before it. While it will make the necessary changes, I have found that this "extra space" will remain in the Find window until the program is shut down. This is true of both NWE 2.5 and NWE 2.6beta4.
OS X 10.3.9 on eMac
NWE 2.5
NWE 2.6beta4
(I sent a screen shot of the FR window to Nisus Support).
Anyone else experience this?

Hi shades,
now that you mention it, I tried the same with the same result. On my machine I'm running OS 10.4.3 so the effect can't be related to the 10.3.x specific problems.
Cheers, and a Happy New Year!

Odd Find Behaviour
I can make it happen in 2.6 final release too - it seems to only happen if the text you select & copy begins with the first word in a paragraph. Normal words surrounded by spaces work fine.
New paragraphs beginning with tabs work fine too, it's only paragraphs the first line of which are automatically indented via the first line indent marker in the ruler that show the problem.

Hmm. It definitely only happens for me with the first word in a paragraph - and then only if the first line is auto-indented.shades wrote:I have found it a problem in most situations, not just with a word that begins the paragraph.
I'm using NWX 2.6 final release with OS X 10.4.4, maybe it's worse under 10.3.9.
You're right that does seem to avoid the problem. I can't repro it using Edit > Copy > Copy to Find. Excellent.cchapin wrote:I can't seem to reproduce the problem you describe. Does using Edit > Copy > Copy to Find give the same result? If not, it could be a workaround until it's fixed.

Shades,
You're right too, it does happen with words other than the first in a paragraph (seems to be any word/selection in the paragraph) - but only for paragraphs that have been auto-indented. Sorry, I thought I'd tested words other than the first in indented paragraphs, but I obviously didn't.
