Pasting text around em dash and en dash

Post by Cletus Awreetus-Awrightus »

NWE incorrectly adds spaces when you paste text before or after an em dash or an en dash.

Examples:

em dash
text— pasted text
pasted text —text

en dash
text– pasted text
pasted text –text

NWE pastes text correctly before and after a hyphen.

Example:

text-pasted text
pasted text-text

Note: The above pertains to the North American English only (as far as I know). Other languages (or variants of the English language) use spaces around en dashes and em dashes.
This should be either an option or NWE should follow the rules silently (automatically), based on the selected language.

Your right to not that American English does not use spaces around those dashes. I my experience, British usage is to put a space around them. Your solutions seem plausible to me.
