Just a new user's question

Post by joehardy »

Now that NWE 2.5 has bullet/number list support, I've adopted it as my main WP and love it.
Just one question, though.
What is that little arrow at the right end of the ruler? What does it do? If I click it, I get a drop-down menu for left, right, center, but I have idea what it actually does. It's probably something very obvious, but I haven't figured it out yet.

This allows you select the kind of tabs that you want to place on the ruler.

joao's got it: the drop down menu lets you choose the alignment for any new tabs you create. Just set the alignment that you would like and then click anywhere on the ruler to create your tab.

Very clever! Gosh, I hadn't used tabs much since switching from a typewriter to a computer which allows for tables. But it's a great idea, especially for decimals.
Thanks for the information, which I later found on p. 88 in the PDF manual.
