hyperlinked text

Post by DavidK »

Here's the situation -- I cut something from a web site which contains a hyperlink -- I paste it into my Nisus document, and the hyperlink is preserved -- How do I change the text to regular text, un-hyperlinked?

Hmm. I think Nisus should add an option for doing this. Maybe in the Edit Hyperlink dialog.

Here's a somewhat clunky workaround.

1. Select the hyperlink text. (You can control-click the link, then click outside the contextual menu.)

2. Copy (or copy text only).

3. Delete the hyperlink.

4. Paste as plain text (or, if you copied text only, you can simply paste).

I've set menu keys for Copy Text Only and Copy Plain Text Only, which might make this procedure a little smoother.

That copy-paste trick that Craig gave will work. You can also select the hyperlinked text and choose the "Format > Remove Attributes & Styles" menu. I realize both of these have side effects, so we've got a feature request filed to add "Remove Hyperlink" next to the "Edit Hyperlink" menu.
