Attachment encoding, take 2

Post by ljcole »

I have been experiencing problems sending attachments to others who are using Windows OS computers. This seems to affect image files, but in actuality can affect any file which Nisus Email cannot identify as a ASCII text file.

What happens is that files are being sent as as a two part message, with the first part being of MIME type "application/applefile" and the second part being tagged MIME type "application/octet stream". (This second section holds the actual data.)

So a Windows user expects the image to open automatically in their email program and it doesn't, and apparently they have difficulty saving the attachment to their hard drive.

How do I instruct Nisus Email to not put the "applefile" wrapper around these non-text files?
