The thesaurus needs improving

As time marches on -- and it does, although, sadly it seems to have moved to at least a jog now and is threatening to break into a full gallop at any time -- my ability to fish words out of my vocabulary when needed has declined.
As a result, I am thrown increasingly on my reference resources, and as a result of that I am finding the Nisus thesaurus wanting more and more often.
This morning, for example, I had too many uses of "major" as an adjective in one sentence. I went to the Nisus thesaurus looking for some alternatives. Bad luck -- not a single reference provided for the use of major as an adjective -- e.g. a major development.
I have had other frustrations of this nature in the past -- in fact, because of that I have not relied on it too much -- but haven’t been as irritated as I was this morning! Perhaps along with loss of capacity to retrieve wanted word, I am getting crotchety too. And perhaps the problems of being on the move, with none of my reference books to hand, and only a chancy and slow internet connection available, are contributing to it.
Whatever -- I feel the thesaurus needs work, preferably quickly so I am still compos enough to to take advantage of it.
Cheers, geoff
