I would like to make a text box, put text inside the box, but then make it such that the lines that make up the box are invisible (unless I wish to drag the box around the screen). WORD permits me to do this; can I do it in Nisus Pro? Thanks

Yes, this is possible in Nisus Writer Pro (NWP). Just select the floating text box and use the "Shape Stroke" palette to change the border edge style/thickness to none.
