Glossary File Window: Vertical Scrollbar

Dear Sir,

in the Glossary Files panel (Preferences-->QuickFix) only
5 gloassaries can be displayed. If there are more, as in my
case, they can only be selected using the down arrow, as
the vertical scroll bar is not active.

Reported some days ago to the BETA forum, this problem
still persists in NW Pro v. 1.

For the rest, I congratulate all the people at Nisus SoftWare
for this very nice program. Thank you: the long waiting was
worth.

Mac OS 10.4.10 on a Dual 1,25 GHz Power PC G4, 2 GB
DDR SDRAM.

GBeurlen: what localization of NWP are you using?

Also, I'm curious if anyone else has noticed this problem? I have been unable to duplicate it myself.

Hi Martin,

to answer your question: I use the English localization of NWPro,
and Mac OS US English localization.

I also installed a demo version on a clean user on my computer,
with the same result: only the first 5 glossary files can be
selected directly, the vertical scroll bar is still not active. To select
one of the other glossary files for edition, for example, it is
necessary to go down with the keyboard down-arrow.

I installed a demo of NWPro on an other machine too, a
Dual 2 GHz PowerPC G5 with 2.5 GB DDR SDRAM installed,
Mac OS 10.4.9, US English localization. With the same result.

All other features I tried out, work very well and I am very
happy with the program. Maybe the handling of images could
be a bit easier and better, but... I am sure NW Pro has a great
future.

Looking forward hearing from you,

Regards,

I have noticed the problem. Language: English (British). A workaround is to click on New Glossary button a couple of times. This will reveal the scrollbar. You can then delete the empty new glossaries. The scrollbar will stay, at least until you relaunch the app. So the problem needs a permanent fix.

Hi Hamid,

thanks for your reply.

Indeed, your suggestion works, but only for the same session.
If the program is quitted and launched again, the same procedure
has to bee repeated.

That is not too bad, but it may be possible to inadvertently delete
a wrong glossary.

Anyway, I am a little bit happier than before.

You can edit your own posts at anytime; as I added: The scrollbar will stay, at least until you relaunch the app. So the problem needs a permanent fix.

Thank you for the extra information and confirming report- I've reproduced the problem now and will file a bug.
