Re: Exporting to HTML without stylesheet info
Many thanks for that, Martin Jerry's macro indeed seems like the kind of thing I'm looking for, although I fear that implementing it may be beyond my current rather modest abilities. More generally, I'm interested in the ways a document can be made "interoperable" in the sense that it can be switche...

Exporting to HTML without stylesheet info
Hi, I'm looking for the most efficient way to export a file to HTML, but without the stylesheet data that's inserted via the standard NWP command. The idea would be to disregard parameters such as fonts and colours, and simply map the RTF content defined in my simple NWP template to basic HTML tags....

Some kind of XML
I've been hearing for years about XML, have understood its usefulness but have never actually found a way of using it for my own work. I note that most of the web sites which discuss using XML for writing are oriented towards technical writers. Although I'm technically literate, most of my writing i...

After crash - reinstall NWP?
Hi, After over six months of trouble-free work with NWP, I've just had a nasty experience. I'd imported a Word document received over the Internet, opening it in Word, saving it as RTF and then reopening it under NWP. After a few minutes' work the document froze - I could open and close NWP, but I c...

Building an index
Hi, I'm a recent adopter of Nisus Writer, and am caught in the usual dilemma: I need to get on with my big writing project, and therefore don't always have the time to Read the Fabulous Manual or check in to the fabulous forums as much as I should. So forgive me if following questions have already b...

Re: Delays on "Save" command
Thanks for all the helpful replies. I conclude that my problem isn't really one, and that the delays are probably linked to the length and complexity of my documents. Concerning the "complexity" part, as a new user migrating from MS Word, I've already come to the conclusion that I will stop importin...

Delays on "Save" command
Hi, I'm busy discovering Nisus Writer Pro with great pleasure, after years of using MS Word. The search and replace possibilities, which I could previously use only on text documents via BBEdit, are alone worth the switch, but I'm discovering lots more advantages, such as the TOC, bookmark and index...
