I haven't had any style oddity yet, but I get plenty of [floating] images that moves between editing sessions, even though their anchors do not...
merely saving to pdf is sufficient to make a mess out of any complex layout !
and saving as html is guaranteed to make these images unusable anyway...

Re: Congratulations Nisus - ePub output is great
don't tell me epub output is great; just wait till you see what happens to images: once they are downsampled to low-resolution jpeg format, they are mangled beyond recognition, just the same as when exported to html...

Re: Two Page View?
thanks for that macro, Martin! choose Print > Preview instead of generating a PDF file ah, but as far as I know, this does indeed generate a pdf in /private/tmp/ : and that's exactly what I call printing to pdf… and whichever the method, I'll have to navigate the resulting file to view the page I'm ...

Re: Export to HTML or EPUB
from my experience, rendering images to html only works if they are either inline with text or embedded in tables… but the latter option yields very unsatisfactory results since tables are not rendered so they honor the original layout; and it's a shame the original images are systematically down-sa...

inline images revert to their original size
I composed this 17-page document where images were imported as links and simply in-lined; each page is made of 2 sections: heading + inline image: one-column section text: two-column section now those 17 images were all scaled so their height is 6 cm… the next time NW 2 opens the file, most images h...

Re: NWP 2, panes, and views
no, no, no: don't get me wrong… I immediately stored that macro where it belongs, adapted it to reset the page and style views as well, and reassigned my previous shortcuts: it all works like a charm — as long as I don't use the toolbar to switch! again: thank you for helping me, but I still think e...

I'm baffled: I've just saved the very same document as pdf without changing anything in it, and now all page numbers are okay…
could it be a system-wide interference?
I've noticed that when NW 2 is running, bbedit and text wrangler become intolerably slow… but maybe it's just me!

Re: NWP 2, panes, and views
thanks, but this is a tad too clunky for everyday use: wouldn't it be simpler if NW reverted to its old behavior?
I wonder who ever complained about the views having different settings: I even wish there were many possible views, like it's done in Apple Logic Pro, for instance…

Re: truncated page numbers
when a digit is added hmm, not exactly: I'm getting documents which are correctly numbered until page 34, then all pages are numbered 3, 4, 5… until they suddenly show their actual number again on page 63, then revert to a 1-char number on page 107, and so on! and this doesn't appear to be related ...

background color attribute
from the release notes: the background color attribute should only draw in areas actually occupied by characters (eg: exclude indents, line wraps, etc). ah, but who decided it should behave like that? this is bad news: I've used this feature as part of the styling for my headings, so they contrast w...

Re: HTML export
while we're at it, there's a very serious problem with html renditions: images are down-sampled to the point they only vaguely evoke their original counterpart; look at this mess: http://j.feat.free.fr/image-4.jpg most of my images are very precise technical diagrams with text labels in them; they w...
