Simple - Go to the style sheet (click on the rightmost of the three view icons at the upper left hand corner of the page), highlight the style you want to delete, and hit 'delete.' Presto! It's gone! If you open Nisus Preferences, New Document, Advanced options, Edit file, you can add or delete styl...

Re: Official Nisus Writer Express 2.7 Beta Thread
How does one use the Attribute dropper without installing it on the toolbar? It is the same as "Paste text only" and "Remove Attributes and Styles?"dave wrote:Attribute dropper toolbar item lets you easily copy-paste attributes and character styles.

David - Welcome to NWE! I found the Keyboard viewer (look under the flag menu at the top of the screen) to be of help in learning where all the letters and vowels are. For a Holem, use Option-O. Option-W is a dotted Shin, Option-S is a dotted Sin, but Shift-W should also have given a normal dotted s...

wysiwyg fonts in 2.6
I seem to remember that in classic Nisus, the wysiwyg feature could be toggled with the option or command key. Can this happen in Express? I don't like the feature on all the time because it is difficult to read the name of the font (especially in Hebrew fonts), but it would be nice to be able to qu...

Hebrew fonts
Try New Peninim MT or Ra'ananah. I don't really understand the difference between various types of fonts, but some work better with others with the Macintosh unicode system. Also, make sure you have the language set to Hebrew.

Re: Auto-saving and saving new (untitled) files
Under 2.5 and prior version of Nisus, I was able to set the preferences to auto-save new files in the Document manager, but when I his command-S to save the file, it presented the standard Save menu, so I could choose a name for the file and a folder in which to save it. Changing margins
I have a 17 page document with 21 sections -- after getting this far, I realize that I set the top and bottom margins too wide. When I change the margins at the top, it only affects the first page. When I change the margins on the second page, only that page is affected. Do I need to go into each se...

Templates in 2.6b4 open as regular files
Was the box: "open as new file" checked when you open the file. To clarify, my issue is that when I open a template file from the document manager, it opens with the file name rather than as "untitled," and when I modify it and save it, it overwrites the original. When I open th...

opening templates
It seems that when I open a template file in 2.6b4, modify it and save it, it overwrites the template. That is, rather than opening a template as an "untitled" file, it opens the template itself as a document. I messed up two of my stationary/letterhead templates before I noticed the probl...

If I select non-contiguous text by holding down the apple key and want to de-select part of what I selected, I cannot. Double-clicking the selected word while holding down the apple key does not work. Is there a way around this?

Hebrew Fonts
I have found the following, and they seem to work (most of them, at least), but I am far from an expert on font issues, so check them out for yourself: http://www.mendelsson.co.il/yakov/myfonts.htm http://www.oketz.com/fonts/good.html Some of the true type fonts I found seem to be made for Windows -...
