Re: better
That might be better, I am not likely to do a lot of scripting. Actually I am not sure what I would use Automator for...what is a common use for that function?? "Create time-saving automations without programming a single line of code." That's what it says in the Help for Automator :) I t...

When I open Nisus Writer Classic files (of which I have a great many) in Nisus Writer Express the is a problem if they contain an equation created by the Equation Editor. The only equations I ever had were in fact vulgar fractions that I'd created with the equation editor, so they were really small....

OmniWeb is still better, though. So there. However, the script could still come in handy in other situations. Like, um, if you're trying to spell-check something that's not in a text input area. Or in your code editor. Or something. Yeah. I'm delighted to write that I've now found a use for the scr...

Hello oliphint I hope I understand you correctly. jemboy27 is quite right. If you create keyboard short-cuts for your styles then you can use those to change style with the keyboard. However you'll find that in Nisus Writer Express the keyboard short-cut system offers unparalleled versatility. You c...

That is a most interesting article. It mentions a system-wide grammar checking facility. Well I don't mind having that but what I'd really like is a decent interface for the current system-wide spell checking facility. If you go to Spelling… in the Edit menu you'll see the interface that exists. The...

What's the reason for 128% in zoom?
Hi This is something I've been wondering about. That I have been wondering about it suggests I don't have enough difficulties in life. Anyway with Nisus Writer Express 2.7 the zoom menu goes in the following percentage increments: 25, 50, 75, 100, 128, 200, 400, 800 Why 128 and not 125? It doesn't m...

I think the way numbers are implemented in Nisus Writer Express is indeed quite reasonable. Nisus Writer Classic was really excellent in this regard with the Chapter Numbers and Define Numbers Menu and Dialogue. It would be excellent to see that in Nisus Writer Express but as it has got a reasonably...

Re: "All Caps" and "Small Caps"
Here's some format options I really miss (from Word, natch): • "All Caps" and "Small Caps" (as attributes, not through conversion) can someone verify if this is really true? AllCaps/SmallCaps not possible in 2.7? thanks. Uppercase, lower case and capitalise are all available fro...

Part of the problem might be that Nisus Writer Express remembers the last format in which you saved a document. If you created a template early in the session, subsequently saved documents will also be saved as templates until you change that setting. This was also true of Nisus Writer Classic. Whe...
