Hi: the problem that docbnj is having with saving is not the same thing as you are experiencing, beetone. We are looking into docbnj's problem and we will fix it as soon as possible. As for your document, can you tell the format of the original file? Are you working in a document from Nisus Writer 6...

Hi crumb! You can turn off automatic update checking in the Preferences: 1. Choose "Preferences" from the "Nisus Writer Express" menu. 2. Click on the "General" icon at the top of the preferences window if it is not already selected. 3. At the bottom, uncheck the "...

docbnj:

What OS X system are you using?

The copy and paste mechanism uses much of the same code as the file saving system. If you are experiencing problems with both it is likely they are related.

Hello: I'm sorry you are having problems with 2.1.2. I have tried doing Save As... several times using 2.1.2 under Tiger with documents up to 150 pages and I have not been able to reproduce your problem so far. Does your document contain any tables, footnotes, or anything other than just plain text?...

midwinter:

1. Select the note text you want to change (or click in the note area and choose "select all" to change all of them.)

2. Choose Format->Style->Endnotes to change to endnotes and Format->Style->Footnotes to change to footnotes.

We found that many users never discovered palette groups–and all the palettes they needed in these others groups-because of the pop-up menu. Even if they did know about the feature, many users would end up placing most of their palettes into a single palette group so they would not have to change gr...

Hi everyone:

Thanks for your feedback on the palette groups. If we added another icon button that would pop-up custom palette group names, would that do the trick for those of you who miss creating your own palette groups?

Anne:

Can you tell us in more detail the problems they are having with 2.5 under Tiger? Or perhaps you can have them write to sneakpeek@nisus.com if they speak English. I am using 2.5 under Tiger all the time and it works fine for me.

joao:

We'll look into that. The palette arrangements in 2.5 should not affect your arrangements in 2.1.1 since we change the way palette groups are handled.

You can drag palette out of the drawer and they will become floating palettes. Does that achieve what you want?

Re: Already my favorite

The indentation bug is gone. That alone almost sells me on trying the beta, but first a couple questions. Can I use 2.1.1 and 2.5 simultaneously? And d 2.5 files open in 2.1.1 with styles intact? You should be able to use 2.5 and 2.1.1 together. Most preferences that change (like the toolbars and p...

Hi Reiner: Sorry. The situation is not going to change as soon as 2.5. I do understand your point, however, about how Nisus is not as accessible to German speakers right now. Localization is something we intend to focus on in the future, but right now all of our resources are committed to adding fea...

Are you able to at least get the page numbers to show on every header page. "1" on page 1, "2" on page 2 and so on?
