Weird crash
So I open the laptop to continue working on my file, and there were some major differences in the text I'd written. For some reason, a whole section (thankfully not a big one) got kind of deleted and merged with other sections, resulting in this: XYZ 2 41ant lizard) and the fear of and discontent ca...

Re: I really dislike Mountain Lion
I'd appreciate Hamid's and Greenmorpher's input on downgrading the OS on my iMac. Thanks!

Re: I really dislike Mountain Lion
I agree about shutting down being slower too ... though my problems really came with 10.8.3, and also on my late 2010 Air, rather than my late 2011 17"MBP. Mark For some reason when I shut down I get a bunch of "VBox Drive" or something that didn't appear before, which is what's maki...

Re: I really dislike Mountain Lion
I must admit I've had more glitches with 10.8.3 than with any earlier versions of the software. The most common one is that when booting up, periodically, the menu-bar doesn't appear and I have to relaunch Finder; and I have also had more apps locking up the system. But none of that has happened so...

Re: I really dislike Mountain Lion
Hmm it did for me! :pHamid wrote:The 'File : ///' bug has been fixed in the latest OS update.
Interestingly, the bug did not cause NWP to crash.
So I'm seriously thinking of downgrading my iMac to Snow Leopard (it worked so much better then), any tips concerning that?

Re: Select All (CMD A) on footers
Yes, it's quite annoying, specially if I'm writing a rather-long paper, which is usually the case; I get all lost and think "HUH? Where the heck am I now?" It distracts me and makes me lose a lot of time, and stresses me out quite a bit to be honest. Thanks for the [ tip.

Re: I really dislike Mountain Lion
Really? I too am a rather old Mac user, although I really didn't pay attention to the OSs themselves until Panther, and I think ML is incredibly unstable. For example, type File : /// (no spaces) into any programme and it'll crash (unless they fixed the bug in the latest update). It works ok in my i...

Select All (CMD A) on footers
When I do that, Nisus will take me back to the first footnote or at least some pages back, which is confusing and makes me lose time. So for example, if I've got a footnote on p.13, then do CMD A to change all footnotes, Nisus will take me back to another footnote or page. Just curious why this happ...

Re: I really dislike Mountain Lion
Is there actually a way to easily downgrade the OS? I've been wanting to do so for a while, ML is way to unstable (see File:///). Then again, I've the most recent Air, so probably not good to downgrade it here, although will do in my desktop, for sure. Thanks!

I really dislike Mountain Lion
I must admit I hate ML, and the only reason I'm still a Mac user is, essentially, because of Nisus. So, keep up the good work, everyone!
PS: It'd be great if the new update will address the issue of the lag with the red lines :p .

Re: Red underlining of typos takes longer to (dis)appear
Hi Daniel, Yes, correcting typo's used to be instantaneous on my 8 gig Snow Leopardl MacMini, but now there can be a second or two delay. I just figured it was natural... Cris Yes, I noticed this happened after the last update. Because inline spellchecking (those red squiqqle underlines) occurs in ...

Red underlining of typos takes longer to (dis)appear
Hi all! I hope everyone's fine in the Nisus world. Maybe this is due to my computer, but I've noticed that when I have a t i po and I correct it back to the proper spelling, it takes the programme some seconds (like 6) to detect that it's been corrected. I also recall that sometimes it takes longer ...

Red lines when c/v
I noticed that when doing a c/v from a text (.pdf in the most recent case) into the Nisus file, the Nisus file thinks, for a few seconds, that it is in another language. In the case that I mean, it wasn't, I pasted an English text into a UK text and Nisus still underlined with red the pasted text, t...
