Re: deleting paragraph style B and replacing it with paragraph style A
G'day, shmuel et al One way of doing this is to use the Find & Replace system with settings as in the attached illustration. (The Case checkboxes don't really matter here.) Changing Paragraph Style.jpg The expression in the Find field was obtained from the drop-down cogwheel menu ("Find wha...

Re: New document window size
G’day, Eric et al I’m not sure how things go under Catalina, but in Nisus Writer Pro under Mojave you can use View > Full Screen. There is an existing keyboard shortcut for that command. Another possibility is to adjust the window size of a Nisus New File document so it fills the screen (apart from ...

Beware Catalina
G’day, all For anyone contemplating moving to macOS 10.15 Catalina, be aware that Mac-related forums appear to be flagging more than the usual number of difficulties with a new operating system. I for one will be sticking with Mojave for many months yet. In fact, if past experience is anything to go...

Non-floating Character Viewer
G’day, all I find the Character Viewer one of the most useful features of the Mac, but also one of its most annoying. Even in its minimized form, it is too intrusive when one is not actually consulting it. Does anyone know of a Terminal command to make the Character Viewer window non-floating, as on...

Re: Line spacing when using Combining Diacritical Marks
G'day, all There are things happening here which I'm afraid I don't understand. If someone can shed some light on them, it might help waltzmn as well. In the file waltzmn posted, consider the Table cell in the first column beginning with "muelē. audi vocē". The text here contains the q̅ gl...

Re: Transform to Toggled Case not working?
G'day, Cristiano et al Ah, you are operating under a misconception regarding case, possibly due to a semantic issue. The word "capitalize" is ambiguous. In the context of Nisus Writer, a capitalized word is one whose initial letter is uppercase and subsequent letters are lowercase: it is n...

Re: Delete all paragraph symbols within a paragraph but not at the end of it
G'day, CrisRich58 et al Reading between the lines, as it were, I wonder whether you were selecting your lines without selecting the unwanted paragraph returns at the ends of them, before invoking the Remove Line Breaks command. Selecting everything as one continuous slab of text should feed the comm...

Re: Delete all paragraph symbols within a paragraph but not at the end of it
G'day, CrisRich58 et al
I created a NWP document with the characteristics you describe, selected all the relevant text (lines) as one slab, then applied the Remove Line Breaks command. It worked fine for me.
For reference, see P. 659 of the Nisus Writer Pro User Guide.
Cheers,
Adrian

Re: Import CSV file to table in Nisus?
G'day, wF et al If you replace all the commas in your comma-separated text file with tabs, then select everything and Convert Text to Table, you will get a proper Table. This may not be the complete solution in every circumstance. For example, I started with a Numbers spreadsheet which had commas in...

Re: Table Format for Sort by date?
G'day, wF et al I was referring to the command, Edit:Transform Paragraphs:Sort Ascending (A-Z), which your version of NWP baulked at. If you open my Sort by Date US macro, you will see that it uses two Sort commands from the main hierarchical menu: one from the Edit menu and one from the Table menu....

Re: How to construct search word which is in bold
G'day, all Oh, and be aware that there is a bug in Replace All in NWP 3.0.3, such that the replacement is not necessarily immediately reflected in the document. You need to click on the document once in order to return to it from the F/R dialog box and then click on it again to force a refresh. I've...

Re: How to construct search word which is in bold
G'day, vwnisus et al I suggest you copy an instance of the boldfaced word in the document and paste it into the Find field of the Find & Replace dialog box, and also into the Replace field there. Select the word in the Replace field and "unbold" it. Tick the following checkboxes: Forma...

Are you using NWP 3.0.3? That command is definitely there in the Edit hierarchical menu.

Re: Table Format for Sort by date?
G'day, wF et al All eight of those most recently uploaded macros are new versions. Version numbers would be a good idea. Next time! You don't need to test them all if you don't want to. The Sort by Date macros are standalone macros, incorporating the code from the Date macros rather than merely refe...
