Re: Both Character and Paragraph Styles replicate unnecessar

Hi Martin,

I just typed those entries in the Find/Replace window, so they should have had no styles associated with them... I do now have the type set as larger, as you showed me previously, is that causing the styles? Then there should be only one more style at most, check?

Re: Both Character and Paragraph Styles replicate unnecessar

Hi Henry.

I believe I've narrowed down the cause of this unwanted style duplication, and have identified the circumstances to Martin, who now has it on his list to resolve.

But it seems totally different to yours, Henry...

Thanks

You're right, it's better as a separate request.

This also has my vote.

Thanks, Martin, that enhancement would work very nicely.

Can't use Find Previous when using Here to End in Find/Repla

hi, I generally need to see how many instances there are of my keywords, for example "change anyword life", there are from my initial starting point - the title: My Text - to the end of the file. This works as set, but having found one or more, I want to go back to the starting point to fi...

Re: Spelling Dictionary Issues

I now have an enormous QuickFix file in both British English and American English. I wrote a macro (using obsolete Quickeys) to easily correct a typo. As a result, I now find NWP automatically corrects most of my mistakes, and spell check notices when I use English rather than American spelling. So,...

Both Character and Paragraph Styles replicate unnecessarily

NWP 2.0.4 continues to unnecessarily replicate both Character and Paragraph Styles, even when they're a duplicate of existing ones. :( I've reported this problem previously, but such unnecessary proliferation is causing problems. I can't even see all my Styles because of the number of duplicates. Th...

Re: NWP Feedback to send file both with and without changes

Yes, indeed it is. But why?

Don't I recall you responding one time that I'd chosen the wrong one to send, and I should mostly send the original? So it's something that would benefit us all...

Re: NWP to open all the files that were previously open

Aaah! Now I understand. So it seems I will need to live with the inconvenience. Or maybe NWP could give the user an option in the recover window to reopen all files. Actually, NWP is very reliable, very user-friendly, very capable, and a joy to use. I mostly find that whenever NWP crashes, it's beca...

NWP to open all the files that were previously open

When NWP has crashed, it helpfully comes up with a list of saved files and their change status. So we can see which version to keep. But doing this means that NWP does NOT open all the files that were previously open. But it does normally since I have this checked in Prefs. So this is a request for ...

NWP Feedback to send file both with and without changes

NWP has an excellent Feedback mechanism, and the most recent enhancements improved it immensely. :) Yet when a file has changed, NWP asks if you want to send the file with or without changes. But I sometimes don't know and so would like a third option - both. Then when it's not clear to me which to ...

Re: NWP 2.04 crash

Hi Martin,

This post reports a NWP crash. But whenever I see a bug or have a crash, I generally report it via NWP's revamped and excellent Menu > Help > Send Feedback instead.

Do Nisus have a preference for where to report bugs? How about a crash? In this forum, or via Send Feedback?

Re: Save changes doesn't work in Find/Replace window

Hi Martin, I don't think anyone would be confused. Find/Replace works on the window behind it (second frontmost window?) so Saving any changes when in Find/Replace would work on exactly the same (second frontmost) window that Replace has just changed. So Save is indeed a special case - these changes...
