Weird Problems with Fonts and Display of Style Pallets

Using Font Book, I just replaced Prensa PostScript fonts (from Font Bureau) with Prensa OpenType fonts. In all my other applications, the OpenType fonts are displayed correctly and can be chosen correctly. HOWEVER, Nisus Writer Pro is still displaying the Prensa PostScript fonts. I have rebooted my ...

Re: Changing the Size of Bullets in a List

Philip, I followed your first example, and it worked. As you said, it only "takes" once you move the cursor to a different field of the list settings. I was able to make the change, save the document, and have the changed bullet appear when I opened the saved document. I'll try the style m...

Re: Changing the Size of Bullets in a List

Again, many thanks, Philip.

I'll give that a try today.

Re: Changing the Size of Bullets in a List

Many thanks for your suggestions, but I have to plead ignorance. How can I insert a different character into the bullet definition? I tried adding a bullet to the bullet list, but that didn't work. I tried replacing one of the bullets in the list with a small box, and that kind of worked, but it rev...

Changing the Size of Bullets in a List

I just created a list with an empty box as my bullet, which I want. However, the box is way too big for a bullet.

I want to change the bullet to a smaller font than the text.

How can I do that? Tried several ways, none of them worked.

Re: Another Capitalization Question

Thanks, but I want to do it by an exact amount of space by percentage — like line spacing.

Is there a way to do that?

I recently learned that an elegant version of the Dublin template can be produced from the Luxury and Luxury Text font families by Christian Schwartz.

Another Capitalization Question

I need to use small caps and all caps in a document I am preparing. Is there any way to add additional space between the characters (such as make the character spacing 125?)?

if so, I can't find it listed in the documentation.

If not, shouldn't there be a way to do this?

Many thanks,

Bill

Stationery Template: Initials

Attached in ZRTF format, using Hoefler Text, is my template for stationery that highlights one's initials as a logo. The initials are in a box that is really a 1X1 table. Note that the address, phone number, and e-mail address below the box are in small caps. I had trouble getting the initials cente...

Stationery Template: Milano

Attached in ZRTF format is my adaptation of Pages's Milano template for NWP using Helvetica Neue. I would use this template for sans serif fonts only, but you could — and I have — change the size and spacing to fit the font you are using. I particularly like this template in Calluna Sans, Helvetica ...

Stationery Templates: Classic, Formal, and Traditional

Attached are NWP templates for my Classic, Formal, and Traditional stationery in Hoefler Text. None of these are earth-shaking in their originality, but they work. In the Traditional template, the underlined heading is in Small Caps. Again, thanks and a tip of the hat go to Pages and Word from whenc...

Stationery Templates: Personal and Forefront

Attached are my Personal and Forefront templates for Nisus stationery. I used fonts that came with my MacBook Pro — Hoefler Text and Avenir — so I hope everyone can read them. In the personal stationery, I would normally use Bold instead of Black for the name (the first line in the text box), but Ho...

Tables Not Working As They Should

I am finding that the vertical spacing in table cells is not working as it should. Sometimes the data are centered when I click the center button, most of the time they are not. Here's one example, but it is not working in any table with words in the cells: Say, for example, I am trying to create a ...

Re: Template collection(s)?

Thanks for bearing with me. Attached in ZRTF format are my Capital template in Hoefler Text and my Dublin template in Copperplate and Helvetica Neue. If these uploads are successful, more templates will follow. I want to be helpful, so if the fonts are not coming through properly, please let me know...
