What occurs? Do you get an error message? Also, has this happened with each beta/upgrade you've done in the past?

Sounds to me like your preferences may be going funky sometimes. Perhaps.

Oh, and no, I've not experienced anything like that.

Just to clarify one thing: I think I was responding to a post on the first page, and not the one immediately preceding mine. Whoops! So, I wasn't saying the pointer does change in most Cocoa programs, because that would be wrong. Sorry for the confusion. And my rants about Microsoft aren't always th...

That's indeed the way "most" Mac OS X apps work (by "most" I mean "Cocoa apps", or "those apps that usually are most Mac-like and are made by companies such as Nisus and the Omni Group"). It's also the way suggested by Apple's Interface Guidelines for develope...

Re: Autosave option

In fact, since I'm a college professor, I also don't want to create one that long - or grade it! /me remembers the stack of grading from this past semester.... No kidding. Now, if I could just figure out a way to do a multiple choice essay.... A multiple choice essay... that would be beautiful! Phi...

hehe, are you denying the "total coolness that 2"?
Oh, heavens no! How could I say anything against that inimitable coolness that 2?

I wish the spam-bot that recently hit my webgallery's comment system had been as funny.

Sorry Chris, but you'll have to wait for a major release for such a large feature. And once that comes, NWE will have just about everything I need. Yep, indeed! But that'll be too late for my exam paper. Bummer! :? Wow, do you really need a table of contents for your exam paper? Impressive.

Re: Same thing

If there are certain features not present in the current Nisus that I need for my work, as it stands now, I have no way of knowing if I can reasonably wait for them.:lol: Hahaha, cant believe it! I was going to say -Exactly- that a minute ago!:lol: I'm a stupid forum bot that is really ...

Um, not that I think it's a big deal, but while we're talking about it, I'll throw my chips in with the rest of the folks. Two separate progress bars is mildly irritating. One sounds nice. And we're used to progress bars that sometimes slow down or speed up. What, are progress bars supposed to accur...

If NWX had these, it would be the perfect wp for me.
The InDesign issue has been worked around in the 2.6 beta (it was Adobe's problem, but Nisus got around it).

Now, I'm not sure everyone agrees with me, but I think that's out of the intended scope of NWE. Express is meant as a writer's tool, the best way to get words on a page, rather than a layout app of any sort. Also, I believe the preferred document format for NWE will remain as RTF for some time. This...

I'm not sure if RTF supports drop caps. It's possible Nisus could cleverly engineer around that, but I'm at a loss to how they'd approach that.
