Re: When is 2.05 coming out?

To be honest, I'm far more curious for Nisus 3.0 than for Nisus 2.0.5. When did 2.0 come out? It seems likes ages ago.

Re: Long Footnote takes 100% of next page; unreadable last l

I know it's not an answer to your question, but if I had this problem, I would somehow slightly adapt the text in order to be able to split this long footnote into two or three shorter footnotes.

Re: Please speed up Nisus Pro

But, Martin, why did you say that you "still hope to address" this issue? Is it so complicated to resolve?

Re: Why is NWP so painfully slow?

There is one thing about this whole discussion that is a matter of some concern to me. This issue is a clearly very relevant one, and has been known for years, and discussed many times on this forum. Yet our Nisus friends, who otherwise are always extremely helpful, in this particular case have alwa...

Re: Why is NWP so painfully slow?

I fully agree with Mark. In similar cases, Scrivener is the way to go. And it should be noted that the most recent version of Scrivener (2.3), which was shipped last week, has greatly improved import and export of doc(x)-documents. This makes it possible to deliver a document as a Word document with...

Re: Review of Nisus 2 by Joe Kissell

Excellent and authoritative review of an excellent application. The words of high praise are fully deserved. But, to be honest, I was also delighted to read the following passage: "Although Nisus Writer Pro offers draft, page preview, and full-screen modes, all these share in common the limitat...

Can "my comments" somehow be split into various groups?

I would like to make various types (groups) of comments to my own text, using a specific colour for each one of them. Is there a way to use for this purpose the six predefined "author comments"? Or is there perhaps another way to do this?

Re: Two Page View?

No, there is no two pages view in Nisus 2.0. This is undoubtedly an important desideratum for the near future.

Re: App Store & NWP?

@ Anne: you're perfectly right!! Frankly, I don't understand all this Apple Store mania; and it would never come to my mind to buy something there which I can also buy in a place where the profits for the developers themselves, who really did the hard work and deserve to be compensated for it, are m...

Re: Upgrade Academic or just get new license?

Yes, that's my problem too. Can owners of an academic license purchase a new academic license for 2.0, or do they have to pay the 'normal' upgrade fee? What's exactly Nisus' policy here?

Re: Switching to Nisus Writer Pro & NWP 2

My two cents: NWP 2.0 has been officially announced by now; the developers themselves are even talking about a release in the next few weeks, and maybe even sooner. At this point, in my opinion it is almost Nisus' moral duty to quickly reassure kivancmuslu and all those who are in his position that ...

Re: Development pace

Keeping things quiet may be a part of Nisus' company culture, but it's also definitely a thing of the past. Companies like Devonthink and Scrivener have never been quiet in this sense, and their openness is greatly appreciated by their user communities, and may be a partial explanation of their succ...
