Re: Hebrew font issue
I downloaded the document. When I removed your underlines from the text, indeed the nekudot were missing or inaccurate. However, when I changed the font to New Peninim, all the nekudot were in their right places. I have had this issue myself. For whatever reasons, Times New Roman doesn't seem to rec...

Re: Hebrew font issue
Are diacritics the same as nekudot?
Since I'm a heavy user of Hebrew, I would like to try and help.
Are you using the most recent version of NW?
Where is the Zohar text from which you are copying?
I'm happy to try and duplicate the problem if you can give me enough detail so I know how.

Re: Hebrew font issue
So I thought the font is Times New Roman which is what is listed under the screenshot. I made a mistake: the quote as msebban had it doesn't have an extra word. Rather, one of the words is split in half. So what is after the period should be before it. This looks to me either like a right to left is...

Re: Hebrew font issue
Could you be more precise about the exact nature of the problem? It looked to me like the font was fine, but the nekudot stopped in the middle. While I don't know if this is relevant to your issue, but I generally use New Peninim when I need nekudot. And I also saw what you might have been referring...

Re: Upgrading Files
Thanks again to both of you for good advice and teaching me something new.
I think this question has been answered.

Re: Upgrading Files
Thanks, Martin. I do appreciate that I may not need to do all that work. The reason I asked is because I'm compiling sets of old administrative files to pass on to a new executive director who likely uses Word and maybe even a pc. Would the files in their older form still be accessible?

Upgrading Files
I'm cleaning up old files and folders and would like to upgrade files created with old versions of Nisus. Is there a way to do this other than by opening each file separately and then saving it as a NisusWriter 3 document? I have lots of these old files, most of them Nisus and some are old Word file...

Re: Endnotes not Showing
I think I've found a key, Martin (and I've sent you the entire file. I made a change in the way the endnotes show and that restored them to the first three sections, but not the fourth. But there was a section break between what are chapters three and four of this book, but no notes to chapter three...

Re: Endnotes not Showing
Thanks for replying, Martin. Perhaps before I send you the file, which is long and entirely in Hebrew, let me throw in something I just learned. If I copy a single section and paste it into a new file, the endnotes show up though without my formatting. If I made a copy of the entire file, or selecte...

Endnotes not Showing
I just began working with Nisus 3 and the first thing I've seen is that the endnotes which I had showing at the end of each section are no longer visible. I can see them if I create a split view and then clicking on the number will move the cursor between text and note as it always did before. Is th...

Smart Quotes Reversed
I've been translating a Hebrew document and, when I need to insert quotes into the Hebrew (when the author is citing verses), they are coming out reversed and I have to type four to get two in the right direction. I think I remember that there was a way to fix this, but I an't remember what it was o...

Re: iOS integration
I have been using Textilus Pro in my iPad. It's not perfect, but it was the only word processor I could find that saved in rtf. The more complicated the formatting of the Nisus document, the more errors Textilus will make (e.g. it doesn't relate to outlines), but for many purposes it works well, esp...

Re: NW 2.04 and Mountain Lion
Thanks for the responses. I did keep digging around. When I checked Activity Monitor, I found that CalendarAgent was hogging a huge amount of memory and using a lot of cpu. Poking around some more, I found the following: http://robert.accettura.com/blog/2012/08/19/how-to-stop-calendaragent-from-eati...

NW 2.04 and Mountain Lion
I just installed Mountain Lion on my Macbook Pro (and, so far, wishing I had not). Things are running very slowly, including NW (saving as a pdf, for example, took a good five minutes). So I'm wondering if others have experienced this slowdown and whether there is any reason to think it is connected...
