Re: Default Zoom % List

meant to say that if you put the most frequently used ratio, say 175, first, no navigation is required to select it.

Re: Default Zoom % List

Here's a little macro that might help. Change the zoom ratios to whatever values you want. If you order them in the order of frequency (say you use 175 most of the time), put that value first. You can navigate the prompt with the cursor keys. Hmm. Can't seem to attach a .nwm file. Copy and save a ma...

Re: Print issue with NWP 2.1.8 on MacOS 10.13.3

I'm not on Sierra, and can only guess at the problem, but your print sample does not look skewed (meaning that it is printed on an angle to the page, such that the printed lines are at an angle to the edge of the paper, which is more likely a paper feed problem that would not appear in your print pr...

Re: Autofixing two spaces after a period.

Hi, Þorvarður. Yes, I understood that, but there is more than one way to skin a cat (although I have never actually skinned a cat). Another way should be for the glossary entry to trigger by any two consecutive spaces, converting to one. But there can also be complications with this. Being more inte...

Re: Autofixing two spaces after a period.

Never noticed this thread before. All of the responses focus on finding some character (period, other punctuation mark) followed by more than one space, or Þorvarður's glossary solution. Long past the Precambrian period of typewriters, and in the work I do, I can't think of any normal instance where...

Re: Nisus Default Template

Perhaps I should add that the new document window is whatever the Nisus default window dimensions are. Don't know if it's relevant.

Re: Nisus Default Template

I work with a MBPro connected to a large external monitor, and found this thread curious. On my setup, how the windows stack, or not, depends on the arrangement of the displays in the display prefs. Looking at the screens, the MBP screen is on the left side of the external monitor. I always move Nis...

Re: How to paste 500 pg .book & maintain orig pages and for

I suspect the answer will depend on knowing the format of the text you want to paste (or open) (doc, docx, rtf, some electronic publishing format, etc), and whether or not that format enables detecting where the pages break.

mail merge

I find this hard to believe, but is NWP actually lacking a mail merge capability? Pretty sure NW Classic had it, which doesn't mean much. Never needed it before in NWP, and cannot find any reference in the help file. "mail merge" finds nothing, and all "mail" finds refer to e-mai...

Re: Type Text vs Type Attributed Text

Hello, Philip. Thank you for your help. I was not aware that $sel.text.transliterateInRange($sel.range, $map) was valid, and have changed my macro. In the process, (prompted by .textSelection) I learned I was using a deprecated command. And I have been re-reading the lang ref in the process about li...

Type Text vs Type Attributed Text

Type Attributed Text text ....The inserted text will have the attributes that are applied to the argument i...
