shutting off window zooming in 10.8.x
I recently upgraded to 10.8.5. There seems to be a nice speed improvement in Nisus over 10.6.8. For the first few times, the windows zooming open in 10.8.x was flashy and pleasant. It quickly became a distraction. Is there some way to turn this zooming off so that windows simply pop open? I have loo...

Feature request re capitalization
Howdy. I use the glossary feature extensively with most expansions being 2 or more words long. When "fix capitalization at beginning of sentence" is enabled in preferences and a glossary abbrev that expands to one word is typed at the beginning of a sentence, the expansion is nicely capita...

Re: find/replace glossary entry break
Thank you, Martin.
And now I've finally figured out how to use Capture. (Figured I should Read The Manual before asking you to explain how to write a regex look ahead.)

find/replace glossary entry break
I was editing a glossary file to insert a closing square bracket ] at the end of each entry. Inserting an opening bracket at the beginning was easy enough by replacing \t with \t[ Selecting a glossary entry break and cmd-E-ing into the Find field gets \f Replacing \f with ]\f, however, gets a normal...

InfoClick with Thunderbird?
I've noted the messages about GyazMail.
Is InfoClick limited to Apple Mail, or will it also work with Thunderbird?
Thanks.

Re: Nisus Pro and the Mac App store
[quote]We have been using Nisus Pro for years, and have registration #s for installing, which we have downloaded from the Nisus site. ...Is there a way around this so we don't have to pay again? Re: Find not working on document
Your experience is the same as mine, but this computer is running 10.6.8 still. I also noticed the same on another running 10.7.x. Haven't gotten around to installing 10.8. My setup is also quite minimalist, although the programs I use frequently are in the dock. Nice (?) to hear someone else has no...

Re: Find not working on document
Re: full screen For my part, no. I suspect the problem is more Nisus-related than OSX or Spaces because sometimes Nisus macros get confused and work on a non-active document. But this, too, is random and I have not figured out any specific actions that always precede it happening. Nisus is also the ...

Re: Find not working on document
Not sure if this is related to your problem, but Nisus may be lost in "space." I have found that when Nisus is open in one Apple "space" and other applications are open in other spaces, the menu bar may show Nisus as the active application, and Nisus docs may be open and visible,...

Re: Page Break keyboard command
Alternatively, you could assign your own shortcut -- such as command-P-B -- that will work with whatever keyboard is connected.

Re: display word count?
Another option is to Insert > Automatic Number > Word Count in the document (such as below where you are typing?). The number updates frequently, and updating can be triggered by various actions. Assign a key combination to the menu selection and you can also easily get the number on the fly.

Thank you for the explanation(s).
re: iCloud storage
Since any document storage "solution" somewhere on the Internet is inherently incompatible with client confidentiality and security requirements, inability to access any iCloud features Nisus may add won't affect this user.

Q re signing, Gatekeeper
re: Nisus Writer Pro is now signed using an Apple Developer ID, so it runs under Gatekeeper (OSX 10.8). Could you please explain what this means? Will future updates and upgrades have to be acquired through Apple? No longer able to simply give our money to Nisus directly when needed? Thank you. @ re...

Re: Show Macros Folder broken in Lion
Never mind, I guess. It seems Finder was improved to a higher level of flakiness. Restarting Finder brought windows back.
