Re: Tab stops: apply to paragraphs w different formatting
Thanks, Mark! That's a simple, effective solution.

User Guide
The user guide section on Tab Stops is mostly silent on the behavior of the ruler when multiple paragraphs are selected with different tab stops. It would be helpful to explain this.

Tab stops: apply to paragraphs w different formatting
Obviously the ideal solution for what I'm about to ask is to define a new paragraph style with the desired tab stops, but sometimes I'm too lazy to do that. (I need to overcome that resistance: defining a style is pretty easy.) My question is whether there is an easier way to enforce the same tab st...

Default Table Alignment
How can I make newly created tables have left alignment instead of center alignment? (I refer to the alignment of the table itself, not the alignment of text within each table cell.) Can I add this to the Normal paragraph style? I would like this also to apply to tables created by the "convert ...

Import/Export Filters: Libre Office new version
Libre Office 4.0 was just released with a few improvements to the import/export translators for RTF and DOCX: http://www.libreoffice.org/home/Discover#interoperability http://www.libreoffice.org/download/4-0-new-features-and-fixes/ Question: If I install LibreOffice, could I get the benefit of the n...

Split Document View: Feature Request
Rather than adding this to the "Feature Request" thread, I thought I'd create a new thread to attract the attention of any other users who would like to see this feature. This would be an extremely valuable feature to me. My current workaround is to duplicate the document in the Finder and...

Another macro
The following macro is based on a different approach recommended by Martin two years ago: http://nisus.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=18&t=3921 Note that Step 1 (Convert to Fixed Content) preserves the current selection, but I don’t know how to limit Step 2 to the current selection. Perhaps Martin ca...

Thanks, Hamid!
Your trick works!
It also works in a macro if you include a graphic image between the quotes that delimit the search string.

Search for graphic image
How can I search for a graphic image in a document?
My actual desire is more specific: to apply a desired paragraph style to all paragraphs containing a graphic image, or even more narrowly, to all paragraphs containing only a graphic image and no text.

Patent lawyers: Line Numbering for Claims
Have any patent lawyers devised a way to restart line numbers for each claim and leave an unnumbered blank line between claims?

Poll: Line Numbering by Section or Paragraph style?
Question for those of you who use line numbering: Do you prefer the current method of defining line numbering attributes by Section, or would you like to see line numbering as a Paragraph attribute? If there is enough demand for the latter, I hope we can convince Nisus to implement this change. Perh...
