The Copy Table Text command will work across multiple tables. I even tried it on multiple tables separated by chunks of text. I used the non-contiguous selection feature (which I love in NWP) and then when all of the tables were highlighted, the Copy Table Text command worked exactly as it had on a ...

I actually found late last night that you can paste individual columns into Numbers. It's very funny. Rows will not paste correctly, and the entire table will not paste correctly. Columns will, though with one caveat. I had one column where the entries had returns within the cell. Numbers read each ...

Sorting tables
I have a table (very long, 509 rows x 9 columns) which I need to sort. I created the table in NWP because some of the cells contain RTL text and others LTR text. I have a column that I'd like to use as the key to sort the material. A regular paragraph sort does not work. So, two questions: 1) Is the...

You can use most any unicode font to type RTL or even RTL in the midst of an English LTR sentence by identifying the section of text as Hebrew. 1. Click on the flag at the bottom right of the document. 2. Select Hebrew. Type away RTL. 3. Switch to other languages as needed via the flag icon. Using t...

This behavior is fully capable of being changed via styles. The footnote paragraph style shows that the reference number in the footnote is formatted based on the Footnote Reference character style. If you create a new character style, say one titled Footnote Regular you may format the text as you w...

I too would echo much of what's been said: * Better table control * Improved graphics handling * Vertical ruler * Paragraph borders * Comments (change tracking would be nice but comments are a must) The last one, comments, is especially useful in the academic arena. I much prefer to give student's f...

I think what Ninurta is reporting requires that the punctuation and numbers be in English. So if in an English document Hebrew text is written and then you switch back with any kind of number with punctuation, the order is changed. I filed this before, but it turns out that the same thing happens in...

I use cardo extensively and have had similar problems with pointing that goes awry. Sometimes I have been able to resolve this by using the Unicode Hex Input function. So for instance, Cardo consistently has the shureq (FB35) with the dagesh on the wrong side. If entered via the code it's perfect. (...

The white letter solution is what I finally came to as a resolution. (Wish I'd read the post before my first hour of trials and errors!) Thanks for the link. I hope that someone will come up with a better workaround, but I could not get anything else to work. A posting on this issue on another board...

Hebrew text followed by number
I was trying to type a reference (2 Kings) after typing a Hebrew word (in a text mixed with Hebrew and English). The language had been switched back to English but all numbers or numbers with punctuation are switched automatically to the left of the Hebrew. Letters, etc can be properly typed but all...

Hebrew Font Questions
I've tried a number of Unicode Hebrew fonts all with only partial success. In using Cardo the dagesh used to make the Shureq is in the wrong position. Yet the shureq is available when going through the character palette. There are other various problems as well with cantillation marks. In SBL Hebrew...
