Re: Setting heading numbering font different from heading fo

There is no built-in way to do this, but you can try one of the following: You can apply style definitions to the List Style. I actually don't recommend this, because List Styles seem to turn flaky when given style attributes. A better solution is to use a character style on the numbers. To avoid th...

Re: Text manipulation

In the Nisus provided "Sum Selection" macro you'll find that the first line reads: $numbers = Read Selection I bet that you can figure out what that does. Now there are basically two approaches. Since your find command selects something like "[123]" you can either read the whole thing in, and strip ...

Re: Blinking coloured I-Beam also in Draft View

Colored text in draft view definitely does appear colored in draft view. (Full screen is a different matter.) But I also just checked the (blinking) cursor. You are right the cursor color is not carried over to draft view. That must be a bug. You should report it.

Re: Simple Macro not working

Hello again, I have downloaded your files and I even had a look at the movie. Well you are doing everything correctly. That is how it should work. I have identfied the culprit that is preventing your macro from finding anything, and it is a ruler. I don't know how it got there, but if you remove it ...

Re: Search for paragraph attributes Space Before and Indents

2. Thanks also for the macro template. But based on the first line of your macro: Find All '.+', 'Eu' how do I set other amounts than 2 pts, eg. 4 pt or 12 pt? How to indicate space after? I also tried creating 2 macros from a Find for 2 pt space before and another for 4 pt space before and they bo...

Re: Simple Macro not working

Thanks for all the quick replies. I should have mentioned that the macroized version does not work. You did mention this. And I think we have narrowed 'doesn't work' down to an attribute problem. So I hope we can help you get to the bottom of this. Probably you pasted the macroized code into a docu...

Re: Simple Macro not working

What part of this result is bothering you? You are getting exactlly the result you should be getting. Is something not working? Having said that, there are a few pecularities about the macroize feature. One is the appearance of the double-backslash. This shouldn't affect the functioning of the macro...

Re: Spacing Around Borders

Does "Spacing Before/After" not work for you? Regular old paragraph spacing gives me space outside the paragraph borders, and padding gives me space between the paragraph border and paragraph text.

Re: Make Style Force Text to Black

Black text is the default text colour of your Normal style and Heading 1 is based on Normal, so you do not need to change your defined styles. Attributes which are already defined in Normal will not reappear in a style which is based on it; only defined attributes which are different from Normal wi...

Re: Save as PDF

Caveat the caveat... Don't know the internal mechanics, but Print to PDF seems to produce the desired result, at least in this simple test. I think what Mark is talking about are the page numbers of the pdf. NOT the ones displayed on the page, but the ones that are used in, say, preview to navigate...

Re: Save as PDF

Nisus Writer is not a program for opening/editing pdfs. When you open a pdf in Nisus it will just create an image and put (the first page of) the pdf there.
If you created the pdf yourself, why do you want to edit that? Why don't you edit the original document?

Re: Another paragraph style question...

I keep getting the warning: "This paragraph style is currently being used in your document", etc. Yeah, that message is one of my favorite too. One reason this type of warning pops up is because some other style is based on it. Does your document have the "Header" or "Footer" style? Apart from this...

Re: Scrolling in NWP 2.0

Yes, it only happens when scrolling up. The other missing ingredients are 1) it only happens in "Page View" and 2) it only happens when the Zoom is set to "Show Text Width". So zooming (with the pinch movement), and then setting to "Show Text Width" (repeat once if necessary) causes it to start. I f...

Oh, and while it is not very easy to see the buttons/icons will be dimmed if no style is applied.
