My guess is you need to type Alt-Tab, rather than plain tab. Any use? Or have you tried that?

I claim no credit, as I merely pointed to an existing thread and to the information on it provided by Keith et al. at Literature and Latte.

Re: Comments question
You add comments either by clicking the appropriate icon towards the right hand end of the toolbar, or from the entry at the top of the tools menu. If you export your file to .docx, anyone with Word, Pages, OpenOffice or a clone of that should be able to read your comments. If you save it as .rtf, p...

Re: single angle guillemets
The problem in terms of French or replacing single quotes with single guillemets across the board is that the many apostrophes that occur will also become guillemets; "l'étoile" will become "l‹étoile" for instance. I think remembering Opt-Cmd-3 and 0pt-Cmd-4 when needed would be much less hassle tha...

Re: How to reapply endnote style?
Philip, thank you so much; as always you have been extremely generous with your time, knowledge and expertise. I suspected as much, but thought I'd ask; you will appreciate that I am no programmer and although I try to read and understand the macros I encounter, the NWP macro language is very powerf...

Re: How to reapply endnote style?
Hi, thank you all for contributions to this thread, and especially Philip for this macro, it finally gives me the complete suite of macros I need for turning output from Scrivener with footnotes into a fully styled document. I do have one question, however: lines 23 & 24 contain the code # Check onl...

Re: Problem with Preferences Menu Keys panel
Yes, welcome to this excellent word-processor and to the forum. :) I would think the problem might lie in a corrupted Preference file, and re-installing the program wouldn't cure that unless you used something like "App Delete" to remove it at the same time as the main program. Close NWP, go to ~/Li...

Re: Invisibly Tagging Text
Could I just point out that Keith Blount, of Scrivener fame, spent a long time trying to find a way to make text—in the case of Scrivener, inline annotations and footnotes—invisible in response to multiple requests on the Scrivener forum? Even the leading engineers at Apple working on the text engin...

Re: Long delays on "Open": display of TOC
I concur with Adryan—I too enjoyed using FileMaker Pro but got priced out of the market—but I would suggest looking at importing it into a Scrivener project. Without knowing how his text is structured—I presume he uses something like headings—he should be able to use "Import and Split", or whatever ...

Re: Apple and RTF
Hi Paolo, While I see your point in relation to Apple no longer supporting RTF in Pages, and that RTF is in essence, somewhat long in the tooth, to me there are issues about changing the native format for NWP. Firstly, I don't think Nisus would contemplate moving to DOCX, since as you point out, tha...

Re: Export to epub problem
To add a bit more to what Þorvarður says—not that I have output anything in ePub, either ... E-readers give priority to the reader over the author in terms of how the text is displayed. The ePub format seems to be a simplified form of html, and readers come with a very limited set of fonts, none of ...

Re: Macro to change to superscript
You need to use the "Format > Baseline> Superscript" … that does it for me. If you use a button on your toolbar, that is on your document, not the find dialog, and clicking it takes you back to the document and so doesn't apply the superscript in the find dialog.
