Re: Old documents in Dock
On the other hand, I have just tried by editing a file, making changes to it by running a macro, changing the styles of paragraphs, then shutting down NWP. I normally open all my apps using Spotlight, which also lists the recently opened files, and the newly saved file is listed, and if I open NWP w...

Re: Every time I work on an existing document it saves as a copy?
It sounds to me as if you’ve got "Open as New Copy" turned on somehow. I’m on my iPad at the moment, so can’t check, but will do so in due course. Someone else might come along first with a more definitive answer, or if you keep your eyes peeled, you may spot it yourself.

Re: Japanese top>bottom, right>left
Yes, vertical text works in TextEdit, Numbers and Keynote on my 17" MBP running High Sierra 10.13.6. I don't have pages on this machine, but as it works on those three, and in works in Pages on 10.14, I'm sure it will on 10.13.

Yes, it works in the latest version of pages—and apparently in Keynote and Numbers too. TextEdit too.

Re: Japanese top>bottom, right>left
I hate to say it, but Scrivener can do it and export it successfully to either .docx or .rtf both of which open successfully Word. Opening the files in NWP, much as I love it, reverts to right-to-left, top-to-bottom. Mark PS. My screenshot is too large to attach, so here's a link: https://www.dropbo...

Re: NWP 3.0 and Erroneous Spellcheck
That is indeed the case, it seems. There is a lot on the Scrivener forums and in many other places on the internet, apparently, and has been reported to Apple. Someone in Apple it seems decided it would be a good idea to integrate a degree of grammar checking into the spell-check system in 10.14 … w...

Re: Hardware Reqs NW 3 vs 2.1
Since Nisus give you a 15 day free trial, why don’t you download it and give it a try. If you are worried about causing problems with version 2.1, just create a temporary account on your computer, and run it in that, perhaps from a folder in that account rather than the main Applications folder—thou...

Re: Text colors change in Nisus 2 and 3
Hello all,
This hasn’t hit me (yet), but I notice that @adryan is still using 10.12.6. Are the rest of you using 10.14(.1)? Is it something 10.14 has brought in?
Just a thought.

Re: incorrect soft-wrap position
Just a thought. Turn on invisibles, and examine the spaces between the words that follow. As you say it's come from a web page, my guess would be that they are non-breaking spaces, rather than standard spaces. The editor on the website I'm involved with regularly does that.

Thanks, Martin.
Though :drunk: (Not that I can imagine ever needing that!) in the original list seems to be missing ... it's no loss, however.

… the emojis? Suddenly half of them are missing, and some of the others have suddenly grown bigger or changed.

Re: InfoClick to index achieves
First of all, because I use GyazMail not Apple Mail, I can't use InfoClick, but I do use MailSteward. I have been using MailSteward—in fact the 'Pro' version—since 2011 or 2012. At the beginning of a year, I archive all my mails from the previous year in separate year-named archives which I keep on ...

Re: Print issue with NWP 2.1.8 on MacOS 10.13.3
Installing that "macOS High Sierra 10.13.3 Supplemental Update" screwed up the keychain on my MacBook Pro completely and I had to spend an afternoon sorting the mess out and getting it to work again, partially with help from Apple; a friend's brand new iMac broke completely following installing it ....
