Hey Charles!

I was going to post THE most frequently asked question in the FAQ forum but I see only moderators can post there. How about a topic entitled "When will NWE 2.0 be out?"

I just noticed I seem to have mistyped this before. I meant September 20.

What is the end of summer in California??
Officially, September 22, same as Europe; although, Labor Day (next Monday) is often concidered the unofficial end of summer because most schools start then.

I don't think this is just a problem with merged files. I have several large (~250 kB) files from NW Classic and they always open with the formatting screwed up. It looks to me like the styles get out of sync so that it starts applying the style of paragraph one to paragraph one, but at paragraph 50...

My guess is that your problem has something to do with this (from the manual): [quote]Installing Nisus Writer Express Installing Nisus Writer Express is a simple process. Complete these steps to install Nisus Writer Express on an individual Macintosh. 1 Make sure your Macintosh runs Mac OS X Jaguar ...

I don't work for the company, so this may not be the official definition but "Nisus Writer Classic" seems to be the term they use to describe the Nisus Writer 1.0 - Nisus Writer 6.5 (as opposed to Nisus Writer Express). It is like you say "Word" when referring to any version of Word (1.0 - 2003). Be...

How about if it snaps if you move quickly and doesn't if you move slowly, or if it snaps normally, but doesn't snap if you hold down the command key (that would follow Keynote). There really should be a nice way to have it both ways.

Unless it is new in the latest version, the only graphics NWE supports are inline. You can draw a line in some other program and insert it in your header and footer. You should be able to just copy and paste it in.

Re: Opening Nisus Writer Classic files

JBL, If you have a Classic file that simply *will not open correctly* in Express, please send a report (with a copy of the file) to <support@nisus.com> so we can test the situation and develop a fix if necessary. Actually, I have tried at least half a dozen large files (mostly on earlier versions o...

5) ... In fact, NisusWriter 6 in OSX ! For me, NisusWriter 5 an 6 in OS 9 are the best wordprocessor program and I will the better for OS X. For me Classic NW is still the best word processor for OS X. The truth is, while I use 6.5, I rarely use features that were not in 3.17 (my first copy of Nisu...

Actually, I just had a thought...maybe we could turn "Open Macros Folder" into a menu with a submenu that has two options: "For This User Only" and "For All Users on This Computer". My thought is that the Macro's menu should show all macros in both locations. Oops. Forgot to respond to this part. I...

The idea of creating Macro Sets is an interesting one as well...how do you think users would use this feature? I used to use Classic Nisus for both word processing and text editing (because it was easier to use something I was familiar with than to use a dedicated text editor). The macros for diffe...
