Re: Odd position of commands in find and replace
Thank you for the responses.
I tried changing zoom, fonts, paragraph spacing. And the size of the Find and Replace window. They do make some difference but still get things such as:
I hope the developer can fix this.

Odd position of commands in find and replace
In Find and Replace when I enter a command such as "Capture()", it is superscripted and partly disappears upwards, but as soon as I type a character, it then moves down. Here are some screens to show the effect: Find & Replace 3.jpg Find & Replace 2.jpg Find & Repla...

Re: How to search for text and apply a style to it
Adrian, Thank you for the review. I added a step in the macro to remove all Character Styles which fixed the problem. When saving several emails to RTF form Apple Mail results in a page break between each email. This has the result that first line after a page break not being found by: if Find All '...

Re: How to search for text and apply a style to it
Adrian, Philip, Thank you for your detailed and helpful replies. I have found (I hope) the issue: the subsequent email headers had soft returns rather than hard returns, so this is was the reason why the search failed. However, now the search proceeds it leads to a formatting issue. I have set up &q...

Re: How to search for text and apply a style to it
Adrian, Thank you for the detailed response. I understand what I need to do to change the code for different words (eg "From", "Subject", etc). My purpose is different. In each file I have saved several emails not just one. There will be several "From:"'s and several &q...

Re: How to search for text and apply a style to it
Philip,
Thank you for the code.
Running it only deals with the first "From:" not any of the following ones.
Is this intended or does the code need adaptations?

How to search for text and apply a style to it
I have saved a selection of emails from Apple Mail to an rtf format file. In Nisus Writer Pro I wish to apply to different styles to the 'header' of each email which appears in the file. For example: From: Kevin Smith <ks@nothing.com> Subject: Re: Certificate for reactivation of account Date: 3 Marc...

Macro to remove some applied formatting
I download a series of court judgements each which contain some applied formatting. I know it is possible to remove all of it, and also individual elements of the applied formatting. What I would like to do is to create a macro which removes only some individual elements and one style. For example i...

Re: Macro command to Import from Style Library…
Thank you all for all the replies. I tried moving the style file to the Documents folder and changed the macro to include what Philip suggested: $filePath = Choose File $styleLibDoc = Document.open $filePath and it ran without problem. It also ran without problem when selecting the style file locate...

How to bookmark each instance of a paragraph style
1. I have added a paragraph style ("Numbered Heading"). 2. This paragraph style is applied to one line of text as a heading to one or more paragraphs of text that follows. These headings with the Numbered Heading style are such as the following: 211. The reasonableness test. 212. V...

Re: Import from Style Library... query
Philip,
Your response gave me the clue to the issue - to use Remove Formatting Except Styles. Once done, and then style library imported then as you meant there is an immediate change in font etc.
Thank you or your help.
