Re: Turn off grammar check?
Hi Martin, I went back to the offending file, turned back on Check Spelling as You Type , and the errant lines were gone! I have opened the file a few times since I posted, but due to another issue, I did reboot this morning. That must have resolved the issue. I'm glad to know that this is not an is...

Turn off grammar check?
Greetings, I've noticed since updating to Big Sur (11.6) that NWP 3.2.2 is much more aggressively marking words the OS deems to be grammatically incorrect. Although this might be helpful in long-form writing, the aggressive nature of the marking in places like lists, which frequently contain sentenc...

Re: Lost Bookends Function
Thank you, Martin!
The reset all option worked. After approving access for NWP and Bookends, the automated insertion process is working again.

Lost Bookends Function
I am having an issue similar to the one references in this thread: http://www.nisus.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=18&t=11666 I can copy the citation in Bookends (13.4.8) and paste it manually into NWP (3.2), but the command to insert citation from the NWP Tools menu no longer works. My computer beep...

Re: New Mac: NWP loses connection to Bookends
I'm having a similar issue. I can copy the citation in Bookends (13.4.8) and paste it manually into NWP (3.2), but the command to insert citation from the NWP Tools menu no longer works. My computer beeps when I try it. I checked the Privacy section in my settings, and in the automation settings, NW...

Re: invalid paper size
When you go to print, what is the Presets selection in the print dialog? I wonder if that might be overriding your selection. (E.g. Last used settings might override what you have selected to go with the template.) Martin or others will have to weigh in on the relationship between the page set up in...

Re: invalid paper size
What is the custom paper size you're attempting to use? Yes, I've done a lot of custom sizes with that printer as well, but the only times I've encountered this error it was when I had tried to do a size the printer itself ruled out of bounds. (There certainly might be other reasons, but I thought t...

Re: invalid paper size
That error is usually a printer restriction. What printer model are you trying to use?

Escape from Footnote change request
Hi, I love being able to hit escape and leave a footnote to return to the main text. What I don't love is that the footnote reference is selected. If I begin typing immediately, I delete the very footnote I just wrote! With this behavior I have to leave typing position to arrow right off of the note...

Re: Alt text for tables
Thanks. I'll try those suggestions. The tagging is like alt tagging in HTML. These will be PDFs posted on a course management website for students. Federal education regs require that they be readable by screen readers for the visually impaired. For tables the tag is comparable to a title for the ta...

Re: Image alt-tags
Adrian,
That's an ingenious solution. I'll have to see if that passes. I've also considered captions, but I'm waiting to hear back to see if that will pass ADA.

Re: Image alt-tags
Thanks, Adrian. My use case is a bit different. I need to produce documents, convert them to PDFs and then post them in a learning management system. Due to ADA requirements the PDFs themselves must include readability features like alt text / tags for images. MS Word has the capability to add these...
