inserting a tab in a table cell
***Original Question*** I have a block of text in a table. I want to insert a tab at the beginning of the block. When I press <tab>, however, the cursor moves to the next cell. How do I insert a tab? ***Edited and answered below*** I found the answer by searching support from the Nisus web site. I s...

Re: NW for iPad?
If you use the export feature of Nisus to export as a word binary, it will create a .doc file that Pages on the iPad can open.

Re: Plug for Nisus - Mac Break Weekly
Where's the link, exactly? It's a podcast, available at the link I provided above. You can find mention of it on the show notes, also available at the link that I gave. However, to hear the segment you'd have to download the podcast and listen to the last 6 minutes or so (it's about a 2 minute segm...

Plug for Nisus - Mac Break Weekly
Adam Engst (of Tidbits) gave a fantastic plug for NWP 2.0 at the very end of this week's Mac Break Weekly (http://twit.tv/mbw). He praised the detailed release notes (contrasting them with Apple's release notes, which are known for their vagueness). Although he says he hasn't used it yet, he was gus...

Re: Can the iPhone read Nisus .rtf files?
iOS on my iPad (3.2) and 1st generation iPod Touch (3.1.3) both read .rft files saved in Nisus through Dropbox, but on my iPad will not open them in Pages. Nisus files saved as .doc will not open in Dropbox or Pages. Nisus documents exported as a binary .doc open in Dropbox and in Pages.

Re: NW for iPad?
Hi Martin -- Here's my problem. I want to be able to take files (created in Nisus) and move them to the iPad, read/edit them using pages, and then return them to the Mac. However, Nisus .rft format is unreadable by Pages on the iPad. I haven't experimented extensively, but I emailed a test file to m...

Re: "big" "heavy" file
I've seen this before - it doesn't really matter what size or resolution the images are, the Nisus file bloats far beyond what you'd expect by adding the size of the image to the size of the file without the image. It's a deficiency in the way Nisus handles images, and I think ptram's solution is th...

Re: Can a language / spellcheck preference be given to a style?
You turn on/off spell checking for any given language in the preferences language menu. You apply a language to a style by opening up the style and selecting a language.

Re: Can a language / spellcheck preference be given to a style?
You can apply a language to a a style. For example, I have set my Hebrew language preference to use "HSpell" as a spellcheck preference; and I have a language called "transliterated" which has spelling and thesaurus disabled. You define the spellcheck preferences of a language in...

In the Accordance preferences under "Greek and Hebrew," make sure you have 'Export all characters with Unicode format' checked.

Re: Special characters
Hey! Whad'ya know -- it works!
I'm using the Times New Roman font. With the extended keyboard, all I need to do it type Option-x followed by h, and I get a dotted ḥ. Just like you said. Thanks!

Re: Special characters
Elbrecht - I downloaded Ukelele some time ago on your recommendation, but have not had the time or the inclination to learn the workings of unicode and keyboard layouts in order to figure out how to create an underdotted letter. I just redownloaded ukelele and noticed the spiffy new manual and a bun...

Re: Special characters
I've always used an unline instead of an underdot, because it was just easier. It looks to me like the special characters menu is an apple feature, not a Nisus feature. Perhaps there is another way -- If an underdot could be easily added as a macro with a single key shortcut, I'd use it. How do you ...
