Re: Numbered list indent - how to adjust?

That's what it is SUPPOSED to do, Dan, and what it DOES in EVERY text processor I have used on the Mac over a period of a quarter of a century Ok, STOP it, will you. Do you think that I am stupid or what?! I really don't care how old you are, how many word processors you have used. If you are unabl...

Re: Numbered list indent - how to adjust?

Dan sez Why can't I adjust the lowest blue drop left? Try it, Dan. The drop moves BOTH the first line and left indent markers in unison -- as such drops do in all well behaved text editors I know or have known. Also try double clicking on the markers to get a dialog box which allows you to adjust t...

Re: Numbered list indent - how to adjust?

Thanks for the suggestions. Using the lower gumdrop I can adjust the indent; however, the left-margin drop follows the lower gumdrop, i.e. I can't return it to the left site. This is the result: http://www.onstagephoto.dk/drops/NWP01.jpg And this is how the style sheet looks: http://www.onstagephoto...

Re: Numbered list indent - how to adjust?

Thanks, I got it to work with my tables list; however, though using the exact same procedure, I can't get to work for my figures list. I used the Lists panel approach. I have been looking around for the tab stop insertion, but can not find it anywhere - have I gone blind?

Numbered list indent - how to adjust?

Hi Working on a scientific paper, I'd like to use the cross-reference features to keep track on figure numbering. However, inserting from List I get this annoying indent (hope it's the right word): Figure 1. _____ A) Course of weight loss during develo.... As you can see, after "Figure 1....&qu...

Re: Nisus vs Pages

I am merely a long-term, very satisfied user of both Scrivener and Nisus A fantastic combo indeed. Shape your document and write the draft in Scrivener, then switch to Nisus for the final writing. It's a powerful combination. Paolo Sounds like an interesting combo - can you provide an example of, h...

Re: Problems altering the comment font size (bug?)

Thanks, mrennie, got it to work! Super, and now I know how to customize my default file as well. Superb! When inserting comments, mostly I'd like to decrease font size of the comment text size. However, highlighting all and next pressing cmd and "-" (minus) makes the document zoom out inst...

Problems altering the comment font size (bug?)

Hi When inserting comments, mostly I'd like to decrease font size of the comment text size. However, highlighting all and next pressing cmd and "-" (minus) makes the document zoom out instead of making the text smaller. Going the opposite direction, pressing cmd and + does make the comment...

Re: anonymous comments?

Hi Martin, That sounds great; I will look into that, using the manual. Being only a one week old user of NWP, I haven't yet grasped the full monty of this very excellent program. I guess what you're telling me is that I can customize how my default NWP document is styled from the very beginning. Tha...

Re: Keyboard shortcut to Nisus Thesaurus: GO away!

Ah, I found it! Go to NWP Preferences > Menu Keys and there you will find the shortcut for the thesaurus placed under Nisus Writer Pro > Services > Look Up Selection in Thesaurus being cmd+<, which can now be changed to something else, or deleted. For some reason it isn't available under the actual ...

Re: Keyboard shortcut to Nisus Thesaurus: GO away!

Hey Paolo I've been in there already but you can't "undo" the shortcut taken by NT, that is, unless you uninstall it again (which I'd rather not). I find it a bit strange, that NT is using such a global and general shortcut that've been assigned to toggle between windows within programs in...

Re: anonymous comments?

Speaking of comments, is there any way to make the text in smaller by default?

Adding a comment, I find the font size horribly big so I have to downsize it manually... a bit cumbersome when adding a lot of comments.

Keyboard shortcut to Nisus Thesaurus: GO away!

Hi, Normally cmd + </> is used to toggle between windows in the program in front. However, the Nisus Thesaurus has 'stolen' cmd+<, even in other programs where text might incidentally be highlighted (for instance in Safari), which is pretty annoying. I've been through the Menu Shortcuts in NWP's Pre...

Re: Questions from a novice

Hey rnkazm Version 1.4 of NWP has tight integration with Bookends. As far as reviews; reviewers seem to be focusing on writing software like Scrivener because its the new trendy application category. So unless the word processing companies come out with a major release they tend to get ignored. Pag...
